Interesting story but I don't understand why Jack and Sam didn't ask Thor for help. I'm pretty sure they could've convinced him to build them a ship, it wouldn't be hard for him to do, and in exchange when the child was grown they would ask the child to help the Asgard. The ship would need to have state of the art hyperdrive, energy production and shields; advanced weapons would be nice as well but even if they just had guoald weapons that would be ok. The they could just gather their stuff, maybe the team, and take off leaving the galaxy- heading out into the unknown- until the child can defend himself. They should take the altar as well so they can have more kids, thus theirs wouldn't be alone.

If The Trust and everyone else was smart they would use the Altar to reproduce this. They wouldn't get the knowledge but they could have thousands of Ancient children on Earth in a few years and with their advanced minds they could very quickly advance Earth and it's tech. There are dangers in the short term yes but the long term gains- a century or two- would be worth it because after several generations everyone would even out again, much higher on the evolutionary chain.
