AU. During that first pivotal fight in Jotunheim, Loki is hit with a poisoned dart. He collapses in the Observatory as Thor is banished, leaving Asgard without any heir and teetering on the brink of war. Now Frigga and Odin face the consequences of their deception, and still-mortal Thor is running out of time to save his brother's life.

Thor decides he's about done with letting Loki get himself hurt and pretending he's okay with it. Loki's got two feet of steel through his lungs and is finding it difficult to argue. Family therapy, at its finest.

AU of DoS (after/during the barrel scene). After Kili is shot, the affects of the Morghul shaft take hold of him much quicker than excepted and the Company must make haste, and sacrifices, in order to save his life.

Bilbo is getting to know the Dwarves and learning things about them. He also finds himself learning something else. Though their true father was lost, Fili and Kili were never fatherless, for a father is someone you can look up to no matter how tall you get. The young Dwarves in the company have plenty of fathers.

Tony's in college when his father, without any explanation, arranges for a gruff Marine to drive Tony to New York. Tony rebels at first, but the prospect of a road trip is appealing, and he senses there's more to Gibbs than meets the eye. This story about their friendship is set in 1991-1993. Gen, Friendship. Thor hadn't meant to hurt Loki, he just wanted him to get away from the door, but he may have done more damage than either of them realise. Pre-Thor.

So Bruce gets hit with this science ray that gives him telepathy abilities, right, but he doesn't really have very long to enjoy it before they have to assemble and then even though the abilities wear off during the battle, after it's over he and the other Avengers have yet more to deal with and oh yeah also Loki.
