Still lve the story

You have a good story here (love it so far), but I have to comment on something you got completely wrong. Tolkien did not mean the story to be an allegory. Everyone always says he did, but in the version I have, from 1965, there is a foreword that he wrote. He talks about how people have a lot of opinions on the story and that he can't please everyone. He then writes
"As for any inner meaning or 'message', it has in the intention of the author none. It is neither allegorical nor topical... It was written long before the foreshadow of 1939 had yet become a threat of inevitable disaster".
Further on he writes "little or nothing in it was modified by the war that began in 1939 or its sequels... The real war does not resemble the legendary war in its process or its conclusion".
On the subject of allegory he writes "But I cordially dislike allegory in all its manifestations, and always have done so since I grew old and wary enough to detect its presence". He also says (and it's one of my favorite quotes from him) "I think that many confuse 'applicability' with 'allegory'; but the one resides in the freedom of the reader, and the other in the purposed domination of the author"

Oh gods I stopped breathing near the end. I'm claustrophobic too, so much so to the point that if people are standing around me my breath hitches and I sink to the floor which makes it worse because they all panic and crowd me more... Then I yell... Haha... Needless to say, I can relate. My claustrophobia started when my dad took me to a cavern and I got lost in the crowd of people then found him again and got dive-bombed by a bat... *sigh* I hope Ben can help. -Cat.

Oh my gosh! I was wondering if I should review but LOTR reference pushed me off the edge! This story is so awesome and so much brotherly love and fluff! It's so heartwarming thanks for writing this!
It's so... Um... SUPERDUPERULTRAMEGAOVERTHETOPAWESOME! Yeah! It's so cool it deserves a new word!
