Reviews for His Mother's Son
MoonlightMystery13.3 chapter 1 . 12/23/2018
That was sad. But it was beautiful, too, and I really enjoyed it. I'm glad you went and wrote your own story, even if it wasn't the fluff you initially aimed for. That story was well worth reading.
Meew3 chapter 1 . 3/20/2015
I really like how you flash back and fourth in your stories. Really adds something special to it .

WAAAAAAAH
FlowerPrincessoftheUniverse chapter 1 . 10/22/2014
Beautiful, and so, so sad.
Chades chapter 1 . 2/27/2014
Your stories, oh my. I love the relationship between Frigga and Loki but I haven't found a lot of good fics. Yours certainly makes the list. I feel pretty awful now but in the best way possible, if that makes sense?
zoe alice chapter 1 . 2/21/2014
Ahhhhh. You've really robbed me of the ability to leave intelligent reviews. Young Loki's voice is just as believable as Frigga's and I'm sad. Somebody hold me.
Unformal Sorrelle chapter 1 . 11/20/2013
Oh. Poor little Loki! I absolutely adored the Frigga-Loki interaction, and, just- *sob*
I also think this fic, or something quite similar happened in canon. With Frigga even being able to do illusions, it's very likely she taught him magic as well.
LVEB chapter 1 . 11/19/2013
Well.. I'm going to cry now... thank you for the OS.
Deer-Shifter chapter 1 . 10/28/2013
I love any story that tells this mother son relationship. Beautiful.

moon-halo90 chapter 1 . 9/13/2013
so sad...sometimes I really dislike Thor
angrbodagiantess chapter 1 . 9/12/2013
Asgard is...ugh. Don't even know what to say. Bunch of jerks...lol. But anyway, lovely piece! I love how you switched between the two time-frames, quite effective. Frigga is awesome (but we all knew that ;D) and it makes a lot sense that she might have been the one to train him, especially given his very different style of fighting from Thor.
I really love this, very nicely written... even if it makes me want to smack a lot of the characters (or all of Asgard) upside the head. X3
Twinchy chapter 1 . 9/12/2013
Loki's sense of being treated as less than Thor because he is different than his brother, his immense need to compete with and beat the God of Thunder in a fight really breaks my heart.

Still, I truly enjoyed Frigga teaching her son how to fight (it made for fab mother/son time!) because I agree, that method suited him better by far and basically made him and his opponents equal in a battle. And Loki needed that for is own self-understanding, his feeling worthy of being a prince as he put it in the beginning.
Even so, it was to be expected that eventually he wouldn't feel like the winner in a match after beating Thor, just because of the way the dynamics work between the brothers and how Loki will always take everything straight to heart what Thor throws at him.

Fitting in bits from the end of the Thor movie between worked great too. The royal family's loss and grief after Loki's fall was very well written and moving - particularly the part when Frigga beats herself up over realizing how she didn't notice right away that Loki wasn't with his brother and father after the fight at the now broken Bifrost.

Really well done!
Maia2 chapter 1 . 9/12/2013
You truly can't resist, can you? Writing things that want to rip my heart out? It's all sad and bittersweet. But the scene where Thor and Odin come back after the Bifrost? Killed me. Truly did. This is a ghost typing this.
Beautiful.
