This was a tad bit too heartbreaking. The fact that Bilbo is still young, yet he found himself a son just to lose him again. This was so touching that I found myself half wishing Dis and Fili to fall or forget Kili just so Bilbo would be happy. But then Kili would be sad, Thorin would be mad, and I would be a witch.

Oh, I love this so much! This was such a joy to read!

The only way this disappoints me is the lack of baby Frodo, everything else is awesome.

I'm not sure how many times I have read this short, lovely, memorable story but it's more than 3 and less than 10 - so far. Well done - it's sweet and poignant and a pleasure to read and reread.

Oh my word, I cannot handle this at all. It's soooo good! Everytime I read this I always break down into tears because it's so well written and it just draws me and it's almost like I'm there. 11\10 would recommend!
