Author has written 9 stories for Hobbit. I am me. Want to learn more about me? Reading the stories is probably your best bet. Anything else is just plain nosiness. ;) I suppose I could say something about the stories instead. They're just little things I come up with when I come up with them (that is to say, there is no specified time when they occur, and there are not guaranteed to be any more). Currently they're all to do with the Hobbit, a book I loved when I was little and still do now, prompted by a timely reminder from the film industry. (I still like the film, by the way, and the stories use a reasonable blend of both 'verses). Fíli and Kíli pop up in almost all of them so far, not because I'm deliberately trying to follow a trend, but because they remind me of good friends I would rather not forget. FAQ: When are you going to post /update/write something? I don't know. When I have a few free spare hours when I'm not actually asleep? Occasionally bits will appear, so just... be patient. I want to write more too you know! þæt mon eaþe tosliteð _ þætte næfre gesomnad wæs: uncer giedd geador. Sort of vague guide (as of December), mostly for my own benefit Third Watch - My first Hobbit fic and still the best, darn it. General cuteness and laughs. Wagers - A growing short story collection featuring the whole cast of the company in various amusing situations. Born from self-questions such as 'who would win a game of hide-and-seek?', 'what effect do Radagast's mushrooms have on people half his size?', 'what is Thorin's breaking point?', and 'what excuse can I come up with this time to write about shirtless dwarves?'. Durin's Day - First attempt at a childhood fic, and generally far more gentle than the second one. And shorter. Also full of good ideas of what not to give a young child as a present. The Waiting Dark - Full scale story about Fíli and Kíli's broken childhood. Skip this if you're just looking for the humour, seriously. Broken Strings - Bereavement self-counselling, basically. Goodness knows why I put it up here. Remnants - An introspective look at grief I posted on Remembrance Sunday. First Encounter - Oneshot on dwarf-elf relations. Don't worry, it's no more crazy than any of the other stuff. Lost Property - My take on how the whole affair might have ended. All That is Gold - A particularly angsty story about Thorin's gold-sickness, his hungering for the Arkenstone, and the effect it has on his heirs. I think that's it. So far. |
