It doesn't help when he thinks about other past romances that failed. Maybe he just needs a reminder that while these women have abandoned him, his friends never will.

Based on the episode "The Empath." Spock has a nightmare that the Vians let Dr. McCoy die, then freezes up when he sees the doctor on the way to the Bridge. McCoy confronts him about it. No slash, just brotherly love.

The USS Enterprise is ordered to Sansora, a new United Federation of Planets member. The mission is simple; help the Sansorans during their transition to the Federation. It was supposed to be a routine mission. However, the mission doesn't go at all as planned and in fact, as Jim, Spock, Bones and Uhura find out, it isn't the piece of cake Star Fleet thought it would be.

In his moment of grief, Bones realizes he's not the only one who knows he has a brother. No slash, and despite the summary, no major character death.

Naturally, when someone's mind has been force-fed an entire civilization's information databank, there are going to be side effects. Something's just a little off about McCoy. It's just little things, really. For now. Buried in the subconscious, something much larger lurks beneath, with terrifying implications.

This is a "missing scene" from the episode "Tomorrow Is Yesterday" (the one where the Enterprise goes back in time to the 20th century and an Air Force pilot investigates her as a UFO). In this little tale, Captain Christopher gives Dr. McCoy a new way to think about Vulcans. (This story is about the Spock-McCoy friendship, but there's no romance.)

As a licensed doctor, Starfleet Cadet Leonard McCoy was chosen to be part of an inoculation project. Six years later, McCoy is the Enterprise CMO. During a routine medical assistance mission, he is arrested for mass-murder over an incident that occurred in the aftermath of the project he had participated in. A deadly virus is unearthed, capable of destroying entire worlds. But as the story surrounding this terrible mystery unravels, more questions rise in its wake. AU Mirror Verse : Between a power-hungry Admiral trying to use the ISS Enterprise to aid his own agenda and a First Officer who is acting strangely, Kirk has his hands full. Fortunately, he's not in this alone. Some cursing/some violence (this is Mirror Verse, after all). See Author's Note at start of Chapter 1.

The unthinkable has finally happened: Spock is dying, and McCoy has the chance to have one last conversation with his friend...

To avoid the following scenario, all Vulcans should take note of what goes wrong whilst performing a massage. Humor, no slash, I was attacked by plot bunnies.
