whirlingskirts chapter 2 . 7/16 So Spock experienced the first acceptance of his hybrid nature from Pike? What a fitting backstory! |
Miko Eiko chapter 2 . 6/17 Wow fue un manejo magistral de personalidades |
PHXYote chapter 2 . 11/12/2018 Actually, a lot of behavioural literature indicates that the bullied often do the same to others.I'm not sure Spock was bullying per se, but rather acting like an avenger which I think is a big reason many people volunteer in the military particularly during wartine before they are even drafted. Of all your stories, I think I like this one best. |
WaterDeep chapter 2 . 7/3/2017 This story was INCREDIBLE! ALL YOUR STORIES ARE THE BEST! YOU are the BEST! Thank you so much. Your insight into the characters, combined with your amazingly creative story lines leave me totaly satisfied as a Star Trek fan. A million thanks for taking the time to show us how wonderful a writer you are. |
QuiltedRose49 chapter 2 . 8/8/2016 This has got to be one of my favorite Star Trek fics. Having seen the original series, I was always aware that Spock was a force to be reckoned with, but he was usually depicted as... less lethal than Kirk, if that makes any sense (I'm not finding the right words). To see him reveal a tiny bit of the prowling Lematya inside was captivating. Keep up the awesome work! |
HeronS chapter 2 . 5/15/2016 I had to stop reading halfway through the second chapter, because conscious planned violence on a helpless victim, torture, is something I usually skip over in stories in general, and I found it hard to reconcile with the idea of Spock. But then I went back and I'm glad that I did. You use the characters to explore some very dark, very tense, themes, and you do it very well. Thanks! |
WeirdLittleStori chapter 2 . 4/21/2016 I'm re-reading this because I like it so much. I'm annoyed that this site only allows us to leave one review per chapter, so I've logged out in order to leave another one as a guest. This is such a wonderful story! I love the way you have Spock calmly disable the bullies in his vicinity, until Pike decides to kill three birds with one stone and ups the ante on him. I enjoyed the way you had Spock wrestle with his own ability to perform violence and the way you had him explain that this is WHY Vulcans control themselves so strictly. I loved the way you had Pike realize just how special Spock is and the way you had Pike decide that he needed to give Spock some extra training, given that his background is different from that of the other cadets. You've woven so many things together in this story; it's really quite lovely - Weird Little Stories |
tanseynz chapter 2 . 7/27/2015 This cracked me up because, having read the original, I recognised so many of Finnegan's protestations and the varied strategies Spock used. Very, very 'English boarding school'! |
Guest chapter 2 . 5/31/2015 Very good. Thanks. |
MaryChapel chapter 2 . 4/21/2015 I really enjoyed this. Recently, I've been reading almost all of your work in bits and pieces, and I just want to say that I think you are a very good writer, and I have greatly enjoyed all of your work. This was no exception. Thank you so much for all of it. |
scwusa chapter 2 . 3/21/2015 What a great story. Bullying is difficult to deal with and rarely does handling with a nice chat end it. People bully for the power rush they receive. It is truly an addiction for some. I loved how Spock handled his emotions regarding bullying and how Pike counseled him to harness both sides. It gives more explanation of the relationship Spock and Pike experienced and explained Spock need to help Pike even at risk to himself. Pike gave Spock his acceptance to be Spock. |
Greta Herron chapter 2 . 2/25/2015 I could easily believe Spock was bullied on Vulcan, but his attributes would have made it easy to stop human bullies...Kirk's looks, height and charisma would have made him both admired and hated-perfect target for bullies wanting to bolster their self-worth.I do think the beating of Finnegan went on a little to long, but since most bullies are cowards Spock would have to make sure he was terrified of the prospect of Spock getting his hands on him again.. Kirk would somehow, somewhere discover why Finnegan suddenly decided to let him alone, while respecting Spock's privacy. No doubt it made him respect him more.. |
Guest chapter 2 . 1/13/2015 Interesting take on what might have been. Very good. |
Maaliem chapter 2 . 6/28/2014 I enjoyed this Pat. Spock's thoughts and arguments with the rights and wrongs of his actions were well thought out and in character. Thank you for sharing Em |
Maaliem chapter 1 . 6/28/2014 Hi Pat This is a great glimpse of life for Spock and Kirk at the academy. I like how Spock dealt with hazing while gained him the respect and loyalty of his class mates Off to read part 2 Em |
