Awww! Feelings!
McCoy Fan chapter 1 . 11/10/2017
Your characterization of the Big Three and Winona was first rate as was the humor and dialogue. I felt like there should have been more foreshadowing of the Peter issues, though you had Kirk delineate it well at the end. I think the villain's personality and actions could have been given some more attention. It would not have had to take away from K/S/M, but added to it. Bones could have been rescued at the end instead of the middle so all three could be involved for example, and each could have shown their character by the way they dealt with him. I did love the way you contrasted the Kirk/Bones relationship with the Kirk/Spock relationship. Bones is more parental and nurturing while Spock is more a partner in crime. As much as Kirk resents it, he needs Bones. I found it hilarious the way that Kirk and Spock both turned nurturing and parental and high handed toward Bones and he grumbled, but yes, he needs that too. I think Spock interacts with Bones much like an older brother. I love to see that emphasized. Loved Kirk and Bones bargaining re: getaways from Sick Bay, hilarious.

...and thus a lifetime of talks of the bedroom eyes begins...hopefully there are enough feathers...
Heather Snow chapter 1 . 10/8/2016
I enjoyed the adventure, but could have used a bit more detail about Kirk's quandary. There was a passing reference to Peter early on, but I didn't realize the guardianship issue Kirk was wrestling with until the end.
Ersatz Einstein chapter 1 . 6/4/2016
There weren't any significant grammatical issues, thankfully. (There were a few places where you omitted "to" before infinitives, but nothing major.)
You took this in some interesting directions. Just when it seemed as though you'd settled into h/c, the action started, but you were able to return to the character dynamics periodically through the story, infusing it with humor when necessary. All in all, the tone was remarkably similar to that of an episode, right down to the IC characterization.

Sweet story, and of course they can never just leave trouble alone, they have to dive into it headfirst!

DLB48 chapter 1 . 4/17/2016
While this story may not have emerged victorious from the contest, I think you have a winner and am grateful you shared it. I love the little things that make me know this is the TOS triumvirate and the way you bring life to their comfort and ease with each other. I also appreciate the attention to details such as bringing Peter into the story and completing a detail left hanging by the series.

Loved it. First class characterisation and dialogue, intriguing plot, and the interaction between the Triumvirate that we all love. Thank you. Sorry you didn't win.
