Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter. Name: Jenni - that's all you really need to know ;) Age: Probably old enough to be your mom! Children: None, but does my husband count? Pets: One cat - Maddie Hobbies: Cross-stitching (told you I was old), playing the piano (it sounds more like Ron's attempt in Deathly Hallows to be honest), and reading of course. Stories: Mostly a bunch of one shots. These stories are mainly inspirations from songs and a few quotes. I'll try my best to reference my inspiration if I remember. I'm not that good at remembering details most of the time. My main story "Nothing But the Facts" is on a break. Not by my choice. You see when I started the story I had a complete outline of where and how the story was going to go but then it took off on a whole different angle...and I'm not happy about it and I'm trying to make it work. Until I can work out the issues it will be put on hold but hopefully not forever. I do plan to get back to it eventually. Update (August 18, 2013): I am in the process of working out some things with my story "Nothing But the Facts". I'm thinking the title may change and the chapter format will be a bit different. I have gotten several new facts from JKR and some that may or may not be actual facts but I think they are going to work nicely for what I have planned. The chapters will not be updated for quite a while because I have several inconsistencies that need to be worked through. Also, a huge change in the story will be the format of the story itself. There will be several chapters that will be told from Ron's point of view instead of the entire story as told entirely through Hermione's point of view. This is very crucial to the plot that was in my head from the beginning. And I'm hoping to introduce more characters instead of the unrealistic format that I have with strictly Ron, Hermione, Harry, Ginny, and a few other characters from JKR's world. As soon as I am ready to post the new revised version of my story I will let everyone know!!! On a side note regarding the story, I received a review with a reader who was concerned about Ron's choices and as to how they matched with JKR's version of Ron after DH. Yes, Ron has changed and he stays with Hermione and makes up for the fact that he left Harry and Hermione during DH. However, he is human, he makes mistakes. I will not change that part of my story as it ties in to my plot but I feel that every now and again we (as in every one of us) tend to make decisions that we see as a good idea and don't feel like we are making the same mistake as before, which is how I think the Ron in my story sees his decision. It doesn't mean he hasn't changed because he has, it's just a minor step back that he has taken and he will make up for it. I hope that clears that bit up and if anyone has any questions or comments please feel free to PM me! Writing: I am not a writer. I don't profess to be a writer. I do this only for fun. I appreciate any and all constructive criticism and any thoughts as to how to move forward with my story is completely welcome. However, I must admit my schedule does not allow for me to collaborate with anyone but I will take all serious ideas and thoughts into consideration. On a side note, my writing will probably only ever be Harry Potter. I love Harry and Ginny and Ron and Hermione. Those are the characters and story lines I will more than likely continue to write about however, I may venture off to other characters as seen in other stories. Books: Almost anything. Harry Potter obviously. Lord of the Rings, Eragon, Twilight, The Hunger Games, basically almost anything that has more than one book to it. I love reading series and getting to know characters and feeling like I can get lost in a whole new world. Personal Thanks: I have to thank an anonymous reader who left a review for my story "The Christmas Gift". This person submitted a review under the name Locke. If you happen to read this I want to personally thank you for your review. It really made my day when I read it. As any person who submits anything to be scrutinized publicly knows, its refreshing to see when someone genuinely likes what you've done. The fact that you looked for something to get mad at really made me laugh. I find loads of things to criticize about my stories and it seems almost impossible that you couldn't even find one run on sentence or misplaced comma or even one or two out of character moments. Thanks again! Cheers! |
