I love how you keep finding references to feet in Anderson's stories. I've never noticed that before.

I love how there is a slight romance between Ron and Hermione.

I love how realistic they all are, especially Ron and Hermione.

I love how there are connotations to the Harry Potter universe in all the fairy tales.

I love how hilarious this is. I've been reading through this, just keeping a silly grin on my face.

In short, this is brilliant and wonderful, but I have noticed an abundance of typos occurring in the text, most often in the form of words being mixed up.

No, Hermione, the German word for thunder is "Donner". I should know, I am German, after all. And blitzen is the action word lightning does. Lightning itself, the thing (lightning bolts, I guess), is "Blitz", plural "Blitze". I never got how somehow English version Santa has a pack of reindeer and some of them have pseudo-German names that make no sense. I nean, I would not call a fast dog "windy" because he is "as fast as the wind" or something. - I am more and more convinced that Hermione knows no German at all, with first the Snow White oversight and now this. It just is amusing that she seems to think she knows some Gertman words, at least.

And the story IS awfully happy by Andersen standards, isn't it? Also, feet AGAIN, even if I would not truly count this if it was the only incident. At this point it's a pattern, though, one I never freaking noticed before reading your fan fic.

And I was thinking of a Phoenix, too, towards the end of the story. Songs beautifully and can heal... i just hope that Harry slept well that night. Poor kid needs it.

Well, I never heard that story in my life. I am with Ron: that escalated quickly! I mean, sheesh. Fairy tales are dark, but in one where all the characters' names rhyme I would not expected that much death.

Poor Harry has another nightmare.

The way the boys are interpreting the stories is highly amusing and sometimes very clever, considering their knowledge of the wizarding world. - Also, Ron the budding feminist is just precious.

Several of the stories Hermione retold here she knew as translations of Brother Grimm stories, I would imagine. I am German and grew up with those. Sadly Hermione is no t knowledgeable in German or she could have helped avoid some confusion in this chapter.

So, here was a second Snow White here, which is a fair translation. In German there are two names for the respectivee Snow Whites, though. Snow White from "Snow White" is Schneewittchen, while Snow White from "Snow White and Rose Red" is Schneeweißchen.

I never even thought of them as the same name till I stumbled across the story in English a few years ago.

Oh, Ron imagined somebody turning a prince into a toad in this chapter. Well , there is a king (or, Prince, apparently, in the English story... just looked that one up... weird demotion, there) turned frog... Wonder if they reach that story and if Hermione will add the weird Iron Henry bit at the end. Actually, I am surprised they did not get there yet.

Your story is really fun, even if it seems to make the trip the poor trip is going through even more endless. To be fair, they had 274 days between the wedding and the battle of Hogwarts. They can fill that with about as many stories without stretching credibility. Though I wonder if Hermione ever told stories while Ron was gone.

It's funny how many tales one gets reminded that they know.
