But I love to read (and write) the fanfic. X X X An Interesting Thought from a Dedicated Reader
Something About Me: Like Sam Winchester, I've always been fascinated by the written word. Reading, writing, editing... Words sing to me sweetly and I love creating stories. I'm fascinated by Supernatural. I just started writing fan fiction in summer of 2011, and though I'm a fan of many SF and fantasy series, Supernatural is the only show that's spurred me to write. Something about those boys has captured my imagination... I'm married to a programmer who edits and writes as well. We like to collaborate. Our most successful collaboration so far is our five children, who also inherited the family disease: readeritis. X X X About My Fanfic: I do both humor and angst, and I write drabbles as well as longer pieces. Most of my angst is centered around either specific episodes or specific events in the series, usually delving into what's going on in the characters' minds. My friend Wynefred called me a "detailed, behind the story kind of writer". Drabbles: I won't list them all here. Just check the summary for anything that says E/O Challenge or SPN 100. Current Stories: The Hardest Thing is Living: Buffy/Supernatural crossover. Buffy, Dean and Sam meet at a bar. They're all in need of some comfort. What happens will surprise them (and hopefully you). Set SPN Season 7 and 4 years post Season 9 of Buffy. Spoilers for Season 7, of course. Currently on hiatus but coming back soon. http://www.fanfiction.ws/s/8953398/1/The-Hardest-Thing-is-Living Part of the "Hungry Things" Series:
Caught with His Pants Down: Sam and Sarah (my OC) at Stanford get some unexpected guests. http://www.fanfiction.ws/s/8631848/1/Caught-with-His-Pants-Down Currently on hiatus, needs major rethinking. Favorite Finished Stories: Winchester Fun: The Bet: http://www.fanfiction.ws/s/7429516/1/Winchester_Fun_The_Bet Winchester Fun: The Poem: http://www.fanfiction.ws/s/7399110/1/Winchester_Fun_The_Poem A Very Supernatural Journey: http://www.fanfiction.ws/s/7779228/1/A-Very-Supernatural-Journey X X X My Favorite Books Even more than fanfic, I love reading good books, both fiction and non-fiction. Some of my favorite authors include: Science fiction by Isaac Asimov, Alfred Bester, Jim Butcher, Greg Egan. Fantasy by J.R.R. Tolkien, Anne McCaffrey (her earlier Pern books), Piers Anthony (his earlier Xanth stuff and some of his early science fiction), Esther Friesner and Barbara Hambly. Anything by Gordon Korman or Dianna Wynne Jones Romances by Judith McNaught and Julie Garwood And many more than I could list here. My hope is that someday I'll be compared to Gordon Korman, Dianna Wynne Jones or J.R.R. Tolkien. Yes, I aim high! |
