Nice. I was listening to "Black Crow" by Joni Mitchell just the other day, and this drabble immediately made me think of it.

Ah, nicely done - I love the sympathy Dean feels for creatures as misunderstood as he is!

And I love the fact that you've gone for a bright summer day - kudos on going against the tried and true and not taking the gothic route like many of us have!
