Author has written 122 stories for Invisible Man, StarTrek: Voyager, Stargate: SG-1, Harry Potter, Smallville, Star Wars, Gargoyles, Stargate: Atlantis, and StarTrek: Enterprise. Disclaimer: The Author of the works below (hereafter known as "The Author") disclaims all responsibility and liability for the conditions mentioned here: 1. The Author is not to be held responsible for any bouts of crying or depression that result from reading these stories. 2. The Author accepts no responsibility for damage done to equipment or persons resulting from laughter, such as spitting your drink at the screen or falling off your chair. 3. Chronic addiction to any of the fandoms below is no responsibility of the Author and all claims for remuneration should be directed to the creator(s) of the universe(s) in question. PLEASE NOTE that owing to the way this site constantly reduces the number of formatting possibilities and characters it accepts in its text boxes, some of the stories below are badly formatted and completely lacking in scene breaks. I'm attempting to fix this as fast as I can, but some genius thought it would be a great idea to post over 100 stories and for some reason a list that long takes a long time to work through! But I'm over half way there, so with any luck I'll be finished soon. In the meantime I apologise for any reading weirdnesses. About me: I stumbled into fanfiction through Farscape, got hooked through Star Trek, and now write mostly Stargate and Harry Potter. Presumably there's a logic to that somewhere. Very little of my work is beta-read, so I welcome your reviews, from "kinda cool" to "you can't spell this and this other bit doesn't make any sense". (But please see mini-rant below re Snape as to why you needn't bother writing me a you're-stupid-to-think-what-you-think rant.) If a story doesn't make any sense, please tell me. (And if you feel like beta-ing in the Harry Potter or Stargate universes, I wouldn't mind the help!) It should be noted that since I'm from New Zealand my spelling is English but my punctuation is more American (with some peculiarly Kiwi idiosyncrasies). This also means that my understanding of English or American culture may at times be indicative of my position on the other side of the world! I'd like to thank all the people who have written (useful, non-ranting) reviews for my stories; reviewers are the reason I keep posting new stories (I have a massive backlog of editing; encouragement to deal with it is welcome!). I really really appreciate your taking the time to let me know what you think and I always read every review, especially those that offer some advice. I don't always agree with you, but I always consider your opinions. Thanks, guys! About the stories: Categories I have posted in: Harry Potter (more than 30 stories), Stargate SG-1 (over 15), Stargate: Atlantis (over 15), Star Trek: Voyager, Enterprise, The Invisible Man (poems), Gargoyles (once), Star Wars (once), Smallville (once). I mostly post oneshots and I have a tendency to write angst, which is strange since I am an extravagantly cheerful person. Lately, though, I have begun to realise that there are actually other genres... Which has in fact led to a bewildering amount of romance fic, despite the fact that I don't think of myself as a romance writer. But what interests me in writing is character and I think characters are at their best/worst/most extreme/most vulnerable in angst and romance, which is probably why those two particular categories come up a lot. The following are the characters I tend to focus on: #I don't pretend to write canon!Snape. I don't like canon!Snape. But the character had so much potential to be more, and I like to play with the idea of what he could have been. So please stop sending me big rants about how horrible Snape was (or Dumbledore. Or Hermione. Or Harry. Or a particular ship). In case you haven't noticed, I'm writing fanfic. There seems to be a fundamental part of the definition of fanfic that certain people have failed to understand. Fanfic = not canon. If you don't like how I write the characters there is a very simple remedy: stop reading my story and go and find one that suits you better (this applies to all my works and characterisations). It's kinder to both of us if you just stop reading and it saves both our time. I don't mind having my mistakes pointed out, or being questioned, or opening a rational and non-inflammatory debate, but a differing philosophy is not a mistake worthy of derision. It is a difference of opinion. I'm allowed to differ with you. You're allowed to go read something else. Please do. I hope you enjoy it. If you do enjoy it, please let that author know. He or she will appreciate it. (I apologise to the majority of you, who have done nothing to deserve the above. It is just that some people seem to have forgotten that fanfic writers do this only for love; I don't have to share my writing and could easily let my unpublished works just sit on my computer for my own amusement. Thank you to those of you who encourage me not to. I will try not to let the others suck all the fun out of this.) For those of you clever enough to read multiple languages, below are some translations of my stories in other languages (note that as I am regrettably mono-lingual at present I have no way of knowing how good the translations are and am merely trusting the authors to do a good job :) ): akumaNakago has translated into Polish: Of Cousins, Landslides, and Broken Bones: O kuzynach, osunięciach ziemi i złamanych kościach Cheating Fate: Losu nie oszukasz SheWhoWalksInShadows is translating Faces into German: Gesichter |
