I've read a few of your stories and I respect you. I don't like all the stories, but they are powerful. I keep wondering why you find Dumbledore acceptable in any way. In this story especially.

It contains everything I love in Harry/Severus friendships: Harry being too selfless, insults and fun.

Wow... I loved it!

I like the Dark Mark reaction theory of Snape's behavior. JKR had the very bad habit of giving her characters a ton of conflicting behaviors and skills that do not gel, as in: wise, benevolent Dumbledore who never visibly *accomplished* anything wise or benevolent in canon. The Snape who was able to control his hatred of the man who casually murdered Lily enough to kiss his feet for years was not able to control his once-removed loathing for James Potter?

The 'despise him to protect him' theory doesn't work too well for me. That one runs, Snape shows his uncontrollable hatred so that Voldie will not ask him to lure Potter into a trap. However, that doesn't explain how he isn't asked to *brute force* Potter into a trap.

The notion of a Dark-Mark / Scar interaction is very intriguing, it could go so many ways.

I also like the common sense of having Snape keep in touch with key members of the Order, and so on. Too much lack of common sense makes me a bit queasy.
