Your words sound like melodic poetry. I'm smitten.

I like this different view of the early days.
Megara79 chapter 1 . 8/9/2015
OMG. I just stumbled onto this after reading Cloud Watching for the umpteenth time. I think I might just love this as much as that one. Thank you for writing both and for your exeptional way with words.

Having only just discovered your profile and this interesting story title, I decided to read and found I like this picture you have painted of this pair, especially Chakotay. Great read. Thank you for writing it.
Dragonmaster Kurai chapter 1 . 4/10/2013

Macceh chapter 1 . 6/18/2011
I really enjoyed reading this. Your characterisation was brilliant!
Tomutionmyha chapter 1 . 6/3/2011
Oh I liked this one,! We lost Captain Chakotay the Maquis Leader so quick to be the Commander, I like seeing him struggle with it, its real. Thanks for sharing it! ;)
Immortal.Sailor.Cosmos chapter 1 . 5/21/2011
This is pretty awesome. I haven't watched Star Track in years and years and years, and we stopped watching not long after Chakotay joined, but this is pretty awesome. I can totally see it happening!

Very nice story, nice formatting, and nice characterizations, 5* all the way!
Alpha Flyer chapter 1 . 5/21/2011
Very nice piece of writing. Chakotay is not my favourite Voyager character, but you sure have him down in this story! Great glimpses of Janeway, too. Would love to see this continue as Chakotay contemplates (and gets used to) the rest of the crew.
The Intrepid Captain chapter 1 . 5/21/2011
Excellent story. I loved the progression you took; Chakotay's indifference, melting into a tremulous trust which we all know, eventually turns into affection. The only criticism I can find for this is that it's written in the present tense, and not the past, but that's all a matter of preference, so I can't even call it criticism.

All in all, great story. Keep up the wonderful work!
