Hi there and welcome!

My name is Elise and I have loved writing since I was little; about when I began reading Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings. Those two universes absorbed the latter portion of my first decade, and every year since. I am an extremely open-minded person, so many topics will be appearing in my works that are considered either controversial or uncomfortable. I have had the incredible opportunity to grow up as a person experiencing the world as someone who is trans-gender, as well as blind. I am proud of these experiences, and many others, for they have made my life as beautiful as it is. All of this is reflected in my writings.

Having said that, if topics such as that bother you, then just don't read my stories. I will neither waste my energy, or space on the website, for the hate and close-mindedness of others. Rude messages will be reported/deleted based on their content.

On the other hand, please feel free to provide constructive criticism, I quite enjoy it. I will try to make my works unique from one another as I do not agree with spouting out the same dribble over and over again.

Welcome to my profile and I hope you get some measure of enjoyment from my writings, I know I have from many of you.

Stances:

I am always a Harmony shipper when it comes to the available characters. I love how they can be when they aren't burdened by others, the potential available to them is incredible and i try to express it in as many different ways as possible.

Ron, I do not hate him and sometimes I will write him more favorably; but for the most part, I dislike his persona and see him as a weak link. Anything that makes him more of a positive and strong character also alters who he is so intensely that it is not Ron anymore. So barring major life tragedies hitting him in the face, he will remain in my disfavor.

Dumbledore: Well there are so many things I could say, but to be honest they have all been said before so I won't bother reiterating the points. I don't like him. I will not bash him needlessly, but neither will I lie about who he is. He is manipulative, arrogant, and too politically powerful.

Draco Malfoy: He is a child but a moldable one. I do not like him, but if we allow ourselves to see him as Rowling did later on, then we may allow for some measure of sanity to trickle in. He's another one I can go either way with. I do like Gollum after all, so I obviously enjoy the twisted ones.

Stories in Progress:

The Druidic Cleansing: The focuses will be exploring the Druids' magic, the relationship between our three main characters, and later on, the young Potter's discovery which is certainly going to shake some things up.

Glory in the Light of Hope: What began as a sweet gesture in trying to get them together turned out to be a mixed blessing. Harry got the girl, but now he has no vision. Well, at least now he won't have to look at those pesky winged horses that he should have been able to see since first year since he saw his mum die. At least he can pet them right?

Reflections that Drive Us: Written as if Hermione were composing a daily journal. I started writing it as I normally would, but really liked the idea of actually writing her daily journal. So I'm sticking with it and i hope you enjoy the style as much as I am. It is entirely new for me so it is proving to be a challenge I wasn't expecting.

Moments of Reflection: The companion to RTDU written in first person from Hermione's perspective. This fills in some scenes I couldn't translate well through a journal format.

The Sapphire Lady: After the end of the war, the Deathly Hallows take their toll on Harry Potter, leaving Hermione without her two best friends, and shunned from the magical world. In a crossover with Stargate Atlantis, Dr. Weir discovers Hermione's recent work on subspace and decides to request that she join the expedition to Pegasus. This of course brings many changes and unforeseen consequences, both magical and not. It is one thing to now have Atlantis fully powered with ZPMs, but another when the wraith have gained access to magic through a mistake of Hermione's. This is a story I intend to have mostly written before I begin posting.

Completed Stories:

Dreams of Fractured Heaven: A poem from Harry never to be given to Hermione. Written after his death at the end of DH and considering cannon remains. This may be used in a later story if I can come up with a plot to build around it.

Defying Gravity: A little one-shot that popped in to my head when I was listening to the song. I love Harry and Hermione together and I think that it shows a bit of character growth that Hermione is absolutely capable of.

Summer Nights: Challenge Response: During the summer after fifth year, Harry helps out a neighbor who insists he come to the welcome dinner for a new member of his country club. It turns out this is for Vernon. The neighbor happens to be Hermione's uncle.

Oppugno!: A short little redo from HPB, just HAD to write it.

Just a Little Toast: A small twist on one of my favorite parts of Harry and Hermione's friendship. A clear indicator of how they interact as a whole.

Tears of the Bride: My first published work. Ronald unintentionally says the worst possible thing just as he and Hermione are about to tie the knot. Harry is left to bring Hermione back from the brink. Very much an overused story, but one that attempts to address the emotional piece rather than just the physical.

Writing:

As said above, I do not have a beta reader, so needless to say nothing is perfect and there are errors. I will be editing everything once I am more established in a schedule
