Boring and frustrating

This is the kind of slow burn I like. It kept the focus on Harmony and kept them out of romantic relationships with other people as they figured things out between themselves, which made things less complicated and provided no artificial drama in the process. I've read too many fics where one of them figures it out just in time for the other to be in a relationship, then that person gets out of their relationship and figures out their feelings just in time for the other one to get into a relationship with someone else, and then the next however many chapters are filled with this angsty dance until they're both single and able to act on their mutual feelings.

It also used the influence of the horcrux in Harry in a way that I've never seen used in a Harmony fic. I've read stories where the horcrux was inhibiting or siphoning Harry's magic and I've read stories where the horcrux was clouding his mind, affecting his concentration, memory and other cognitive functions. I've even read stories where the presence of the horcrux and his fear of dying when it is destroyed kept him from acting on his feelings for Hermione. I've never read a Harmony story that tied Harry not fancying Hermione at Hogwarts (and, at the same time, suddenly lusting after Ginny and getting irrationally jealous of Dean) to the presence horcrux in Harry's head.

Having the result of the horcrux being gone from his head be the subconscious realization of those feelings and having the physical manifestation of that be a lack of control of his magic around Hermione as the realization worked its way from his subconscious to his conscious mind was a great way of illustrating it. I really enjoyed this story.

It was a sweet read. Harry's perception had to adjust to Hermione loving him. The one guy who had a really messed up life right until that crazy theory. Thanks for sharing it.

Thank you so very much for writing this beautiful masterpiece. As hard to read as Stone Heart was; this was joyful and heartwarming. This entire chapter had me grinning and waiting for the moment Harry finally told her the truth, and the moment was glorious when it landed.

I have adored reading this and I agree that the long-time span helped while reading. Like the meetings with Meknikov, the time between allowed us to analyze and 'feel' the story in a way that wouldn't have happened if it was all there ready to read from the word go. I almost feel sorry for anyone who starts it now as they won't get that feeling quite as well.

I cannot say just how glad I am that you left that review on Last Kiss almost two years ago, because I may not have found your brilliant works otherwise. I look forward to reading a great many more in the future. Fantastic.

Fun read, nice character development. Original idea too, explaining the 6th book Monster is such a fascinating way. Looking forward to more
