Author has written 10 stories for Harry Potter, Warcraft, and Dragon Age. 1/26/2014 Just letting you all know that there might be some delays for my next chapters; we've had a small fire at our house last week, and while we're all safe and the house overall is fine, it does mean that we're going to have to replace our kitchen. So there's that massive bit of frustration to deal with; as such, a lot of the time I spend writing might be spent dealing with bringing the kitchen into working order. With luck, I won't be out of the game for too long; I'm going to keep forging ahead with my writing as much as possible, and there are a bunch of short stories on my DeviantArt account that I might re-post here to tide you all over in the meantime. Here's hoping that we're just getting all the stress out of the way for the year, and thanks to you all for your support. 6/27/2012 "Where the hell have you been, you epic fool of a flake?" you might be asking (and quite rightly, too). Since graduating from university, I've been mostly just busy trying to find paying work. Within the last year or so, I've suddenly got plenty, and the grand majority of it built around my writing skills. I'm currently employed full-time with a video post-production company in Toronto, and I have a semi-professional internship/volunteer writing job with a locally produced webseries (it's semi-professional in that it's on my resume, but I'm not getting paid for it). As such, my writing output has been disgracefully limited, but matters are improving. Case in point; I am writing a new novel-length story, in this case a novelization of the excellent RPG video game Dragon Age: Origins, the first chapter of which I have just posted. I've definitely become a Bioware fanatic over the past few years (despite the Mass Effect 3 endings being as bad as they were) and hope that this new story, The Grey Path, will satisfy both veteran fans and newcomers to the franchise. As for Harry Potter and the Fury of the Elements, I still have plans on continuing it, and have made some progress with the next chapter. With my schedule freeing up a bit, I hope to be more productive with all my works, particularly this, and justify the faith you have placed on me. No pressure :) Regardless, thank you all for your continued support, and whether it's Dragon Age or Harry Potter or anything in between, I hope you enjoy what I have to offer. 07/02/09 I'm a bad boy, I know. Yes, I haven't updated the Fury of the Elements in quite some time, and that is partially due to my own lack of attention and motivation to do it. But I'm not going to give excuses, I'm not going to plead for your forgiveness, and I'm not going to dismiss the issue. I have been remiss to you all, and I am sorry. That being said, my work on it has not finished, and I hope to post the next chapter for the story as soon as possible. This is partially hampered by the fact that I am currently on a family vacation in Newfoundland, but once I return, the completion of this chapter will be my top priority, and I hope it will meet the high standards I have set for myself and you have come to expect. It\ll be big. Maybe not big enough to make up for such a long delay, but it should be cool nonetheless. As well, a few months ago (after completing my undergraduate degree, yay!) I submitted a story for Blizzard Entertainment's Global Writing Contest. It didn't do well, and it didn't even make the honourable mentions list, but I think I may post it anyways with some additions and editing, jsut to make it readable for you guys. Also, I'm starting a original novel or two, and that is taking up some of my creative energies. But again, the Fury of the Elements is not dead. Chapter 29 is coming, and I have not forgotten you. Thank you all for your continued support, and I hope I have not driven you away by my negilience. 12/18/07 Hello there, everyone. Just a quick update regarding the Fury. I haven't really had much of a chance to work on the next chapter of the story over the past month, due to an array of research papers that really bogged me down, but the update itself is more than half-done, and will be completed and posted by the New Year. Thanks again for all your continued support, it means so much to me. On a non-fanfiction related note, my good friend and machinimator Martin Falch has just completed the third installment of his epic World of Warcraft film series, "Tales of the Past III." I had the pleasure of working with Martin on some of the early scripts, and helped him hammer out the film's plot, and he's just gone balls to the wall making one of the best machinima presentations I've ever seen. While it's a full 2 GB, I would highly recommend it for anyone interested in the Warcraft universe or machinima in general. You can download it from a variety of mirrors here: http:///movieview.php?id=53953 9/19/07 Chapter 27 of "Harry Potter and the Fury of the Elements," entitled, "The March of the Marauders," is up and running. Hope it was worth the wait, and I'll see what I can do to get the next update out soon, time permitting. I had a bit of trouble loading it into the Document Reader, so if you see any formatting errors and whatnot, be certain to tell me and I'll fix it up. Again, thank you for all your continued support, and things are just heating up... 9/16/07 I've just completed the next update of the Fury of the Elements, and have sent it off to my betas. Depending on when they get back to me, it'll be up within a day or so. It's probably the longest chapter I've ever written, but I'm quite proud of it, and as always, your reviews, comments and suggestions are appreciated. But while you're waiting for the next FotE update, check out "Harry Potter and the Autumn Swan" by Lord Akiyama. It's an excellent drama/romance story and probably the best new H/C fic I've seen in months, so if you haven't read the story or reviewed it yet, move swiftly. It's well worth the time and effort to leave a comment. 8/25/07 The next Fury of the Elements update is now available for your reading pleasure. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for all the support and patience you've had with me thus far: it shall not go unrewarded. Chapter 26 of the Fury is moving along rather well, I hope to complete it before university starts again on the 10th of September, and I am well on my way to completing that goal. Any and all support and constructive criticism you can give me is invaluable; when I'm stuck with five research essays, a part-time job and the usual burdens of school all at once, it's good to know that support is forthcoming for my fanfiction projects. I definitely helps keep me motivated, so please review. Thanks! And speaking of reviews, you should definitely check out Trayus' Heart of a Lion. Back in the day, it was one of the best H/C fics out there, and this rewrite looks to match and exceed that level of quality. Please take the opportunity to read and review his fic as well, he'll definitely appreciate it. FotE Fanart Pics:. Harry and Cho: http:///snapey0/QA/qa239.html (by Tiny Q) |
