![]() Author has written 8 stories for Artemis Fowl, Star Wars, Halo, Avatar, Mass Effect, and Fairy Tail. Age: Mid twenties Gender: Male Update, 2016: Well, it's been a long time. I have resurfaced after years of inactivity, and with more than a few new Fandoms under my belt! It's good to be back. For those of you just joining me: Howdy, I'm Jack. A long time ago I started writing an Artemis Fowl fanfiction because the feels were just too deep (and I wanted an excuse to act out my sad devotion to the flagship that is Artemis x Holly). Over the years since then I've been (I hope) growing as a writer. I found some success with Mass Effect: the Prince of Shadows and Halo: God of the Machine (I also discovered along the way that I'm way, waaaaay too enthusiastic about colons in my titles). I let a lot of people down by leaving some of my best works unfinished (read: all of them), and I've learned a thing or two about myself as a writer in the process. While I began this journey as an awkward high schooler, I'm now an even more awkward degree-holder and 9-to-5er. I've been working on an original fantasy novel, and I owe it all to fanfiction for getting me started. I hope to keep reading the works of the many, many talented people here, and maybe make some new friends. Thank you. -Jack PS: Overwatch is a thing. PM me if you want to play! Here there be Old Bio: Anyway, as you have no doubt read two lines above, I have written for the Bartimaeus Trilogy, Star Wars, Artemis Fowl, Halo, and, my only movie story, Avatar. I am an avid fan of all things I write for, and I appreciate many other books/movies/games, but only those that leave the deepest impressions on me do I slave my time into (With the obvious exclusion of Lord of the Rings, which requires your very soul as means of sacrifice, being so difficult to write for). Harry Potter I've considered, but Rowling's writing style is so hard to slip into, and I prefer to work with storylines that haven't completely wrapped themselves up (Anyone else think she totally shot herself in the foot with the Epilogue to The Deathly Hallows?). Anyway, I'm just happy to be writing here, and I'm grateful to all of my readers, avid or not (I like to imagine I have a few avid readers, but that's probably just the madness talking). I wish I had more time to write, but life is just so hectic, and time is scarce. If I'm free, I'm reading a book or playing a video game, and when one of these inspires me enough, I am freed from my writers block. I'm an actor and writer, writing various screenplays and, of course, fanfictions. I will become a star! Until then, please enjoy, and remember: "May the Force be with you." -Pretty much every Jedi in existence "Wake me, when you need me." -Master Chief "Think fairy, think again." -Artemis Fowl Roads go ever ever on, Over rock and under tree, By caves where never sun has shone, By streams that never find the sea; Over snow by winter sown, And through the merry flowers of June, Over grass and over stone, And under mountains in the moon. Roads go ever ever on, Under cloud and under star, Yet feet that wandering have gone, Turn at last to home afar. Eyes that fire and sword have seen, And horror in the halls of stone, Look at last on meadows green, And trees and hills they long have known. The Road goes ever on and on, Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with eager feet,Until it joins some larger way, Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say. The Road goes ever on and on, Out from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, Let others follow it who can! Let them a journey new begin, But I at last with weary feet Will turn towards the lighted inn, My evening-rest and sleep to meet. -Bilbo Baggins, The Walking Song |
