Could you consider turning your timeline into more of a story in of itself.

This was horrible. Not that I regret finding this story but my experience was that I read and loved the original version which you then George Lucased to death. It was so long I didn't feel like rereading the whole thing just to play Where's Waldo for the continuity changes, retcons, and grammer tweeks. When Game of Thrones started I stopped after the first season deciding that I could tell it was going to be so dark I would become apethetic watching it. I would wait to see if it had a good ending with characters I liked surviving to the end. I dodged that bullet too. So I decided to come back here after it was finished and skim to see if it had a happy ending.

Gwen dying has NEVER been a decision that has gone over well in any continuity ever. It's just remembered as the precursor for fridging. You took all the good parts of spider-man's franchise and funneled them into one home-made continuity but decided to add the second worst part? You made fun of people thinking spider-ock was the real mccoy. Why didn't you think you could rise above putting in the famously contrived tragedy? Because the comics always do? Haven't you ever noticed that Spider-man NEVER gets a happy ending? Except for that bad Ultimate Spider-man cartoon between What If stories, future timelines, and cancled comics and cartoons ending before storylines run their course Spidey's ID is outed, stuck on another planet, living with the guilt he killed his wife with somehow radioactive semen, the list goes on. Superman has had TWO epilogues with at least happy-ish endings. Whatever Happened To The Man of Tomarrow and All Star Superman were great. Not even fanfiction has had Spidey's rogues gallery reformed even though most aren't that evil compared to most villians. For gods sake someone just let the man retire get married and have children and close the book. There is a canon multiverse here, just give us one universe where everyone like Gwen AND Harry is allowed to be alive. You run into the same problem inflicted on him by Joephisto who sees an ending as a bad thing by giving him never ending problems because Batroc from Gwenpool was right.

Now I know you might look at my profile after reading this and see that I too have a story and your story doesn't just eat my story for lunch but looks at it as a free sample on a cocktail toothpick disdainfully and decides its not worth the money. You are the better author there is no contest. But you don't have to know how to cook to know when food tastes bad and brother reading Gwen die again after being legitimately built up as a love interest was a gross bandaid in my dessert after an amazing dinner.

I loved the reference to the 90's cartoon when Herman yelled the "I'll chase you to the ends of the Earth!" line. Very good job there.

This story is simply spectacular, I appreciate it, I love your version of how the spectacular spiderman series would have followed, I hope that someday you will return in spiderman fanfics, what I like most is your handling in the relationship peter and MJ, this I won the emmy, despite being a couple this is the epilogue, otherwise this story was incredible, my most sincere congratulations

So. I just read this entire story in one day. And holy shot. ITT was amazing. You captured the essence of the show exceptionally well and managed to have the characters grow organically beyond that. Thank you so much for writing this. Also, the last scene with Cap? Made me laugh so hard I cried.

Okay, WOW! There's a TON to unpack in this first chapter alone!

1. The shop clerk and chemistry supply store is a reference to Bruce Campbell and his cameos in the Sam Rami trilogy. He even has his smart aleck attitude. Very well done.

2. We get a foreshadowing of what I can only assume to be The Hobgoblin, one of the big bads from Spider-Man's 90's cartoon. Can't wait to see how you handle that.

3. With the inclusion of The Fantastic 4, I wonder if you'll include the Bombastic Bagman at some point in the story? Can't wait to find out.

4. Since you mentioned them in the author's notes at the end, I hope to see Matt defending Peter/Spider-Man in court later in the story, as well as a team-up from Doctor Strange, Wolverine & The X-Men, and Iron Man.

Seriously, awesome start to the story. Can't wait to see how it progresses.
