A excellent story that had me hooked after the first few chapters. I have enjoyed nearly every chapter and how you have portrayed the characters. The only complaint I have is Edmund and Anora being wed as I was under the assumption that there would be a bit more conflict between the two, definitely more than you showed. One dinner and Edmund agrees to everything she put out? No negotiations or anything? Feel a bit left out on that. While not surprising it didn’t feel right personally as I did enjoy Edmund and Solona together and did have a slight hope that they will stay like that. But as a reader we can’t always get what we want. Looking for the next chapter of the story.

Just read through this fic, and I like what I'm seeing (also read your other fic The Dragon's Roar).

Your use of the multiple third person limited POV is looking to be a signature style. Going as far as to make every POV feel self-justified, even Howe himself, is a nice touch.

Only nitpick I have to make is that sometimes you use the word "conscious" when you mean "conscience".

I’ve always despised the Chantry and Templar orders, so I hope they’ll banished from Ferelden given how often they turn against it.

Howe mentions in his thoughts that Edmund was exiled to the free cities, got married, and had a son. But you already gave the impression in the first chapter that you were following canon up until this point. The way I see it it's one of three things. Either he actually has, or had, a wife and child that wasn't mentioned in the first chapter; Howe is just out of touch with reality and got confused between Fergus and Edmund; or it was a mistake and you got Fergus and Edmund mixed up.
Also, as far as seeing inside Howe's head: he doesn't need to be the hero of his own story, following what he believes to be some greater purpose. I prefer the idea that he was just being greedy and stupid in that he didn't believe he would be caught. It's easier to hate a villain for being greedy than it is for being wrong or delusional.

Rather bloody and very complex. I haven't ever played the video game and am reading based on the strength of your characters. I am interested to see how things turn out.

Wow. Amazing. I think the last time I read this through I got to the battle of Gwaren, which is as far as had been posted at the time. I’ve just completed a full read through and I love it. I’m excited to see the closings of these arcs though I’m sure there are several more chapters to resolve all of our stories. As always Brian I love your writing and I hope to hear from you soon with more chapters of any of your wonderful stories.

I've always liked Alfstanna, and I think you've given her such depth here - her grief for her brother and her determination to do her best for her people spur her forward, and Nathaniel looks llike he's going to be very good for her.

Another outstanding chapter. I always enjoy seeing the human side of our heroes. Plus, I really like the inclusion of additional help for the good guys and the way that you plan to incorporate them.

Though I would like more frequent updates, I understand that quality takes time and I will appreciate any new additions to this story whenever you are ready to share.

Another great chapter, with a twist I wasn't expecting. It's nice to see more Wardens, and I love how everything is shaping up! To Denerim, then! Seems like we're rapidly approaching the finish line, and I cannot wait for more!

Good job again. So civil war is drawing to the it's more than likely bloody conclusion. I suspect rather nasty fight to come for Rendon Howe will for sure fight to the end. At least with Nate publicly supporting him more than likely some of his allies will desert him.

And you are right wardens most likely at least would most likely take risk of moving if news of important port being friendly reached them. And at least they seem to be moving smartly, we just gotta hope they can act. I honestly worry how they react to Alistair and Solona. United front is needed and that might bit more trouble than thought.
