Author has written 14 stories for Shaman King, Yu-Gi-Oh GX, Naruto, Hetalia - Axis Powers, Young Justice, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, Voltron: Legendary Defender, Mystic Messenger, and Sgt. Frog/ケロロ軍曹. I'm more of a reader than a writer, but if I'm struck by the allmighty plot bunnies I will write (or the very least write down the idea somewhere and pick it up later). Seriously, I get struck by an idea from a phrase someone said, and it just develops. It's a problem. I write whatever comes into mind, like a one sentence idea or whenever I have nothing in mind, and my fingers or pencil just write a story for me that I enjoy. When I write or type something I like to do it because I enjoy doing it, whenever i am given a topic to do in English class for a poem or essay, I hate it. You have the topic already picked out for you on the essays and you have little to no flexibility to let your imagination run wild, I have little to no imagination but I would often think what would it be like if I was somewhere else, like say in Gakuen Alice or Alice in the Kingdom of Hearts, some other place where I could meet my favorite characters from manga. Nothing comes to mind when I am dedicated to something, whenever I read it in the beginning I do not read to see the plot, I usually need someone to point out the plot when I am writing, but I read it because I found something that I like the most and I put he/she as the main character when they are hardly given any time of day in the manga/anime or that they are usually misunderstood, I relate to them or I just like them (take Lovino/Romano in Hetalia for example because he curses a lot and he is usually off to the side because Felicano/Italy is usually given attention to and he goes to Germany for help then his big brother). Some tips for combating writers block: write an alternate scene to something down the road or what just happened even if it goes off your outline, or put down the fic and work something else. Seriously these two ways help me constantly because when you have a bloke, you're frustrated and thinking a certain way that doesn't mesh well with the creative process. You have to change it. Share the burden so it doesn't wear you out, or stay near someone you know who's having difficulty. It's important to acknowledge that there are people there for you, even if they don't know the full story. You are not alone, and there are people looking out for you. If you were abused--any form--and the abuser happens to be in relation to some family member or friend, go to someone who hardly has a connection to that friend, or to a family member that isn't as close to the abuser. I knew some people who are facing problems because of that abuse and they talked to the girlfriend/boyfriend or their mom/dad about it who shut them down. Will everyone act like that? No, but every situation is different because of circumstance, and I just want people to share the burden or help someone out of their situation. You have to realize that you are not alone here, and if you think you are, there are others just like you. People who are struggling for protection, people who need food, people who want to provide for their families but something happens to them, people who need shelter etc. there is a community out there. If you have internet, there are websites, and if you're scared someone will track you, put it in incognito. If you have limited access to internet, only a library card, join groups and talk to trustworthy people who will have your back. This world is broken, but we can support one another and then fight it. There is violence, there is hate, and war. I will not say that we should forgive, but I believe in tolerance, compassion, and generosity. It's a start, but know that there are people there to support you during your dark days is essential, and you can return that favor tenfold toward others around you. Sometimes apathy is a way to protect yourself, but don't let others apathy toward the suffering influence your actions. |
