About Me

Jen (or Jenny, but never Jennifer): A 8-5 office worker bee who writes & brainstorms on her long commute to and from work. She was a journalism major who went into a different career and regrets it. She dreams of one day leaving her office for the perfect writing job, preferably on the West Coast (here's looking at you Cali) since she loves milder weather, sunshine and running outdoors. Jen is a sugar junkie (currently obsessed with doughnuts/donuts) and a marathon runner (2 races run and counting).

Also, a proud member of the HPFC since December 2013.

My Work

I tend to stay away from most canon pairings, and I avoid writing about fandom pairings that are overdone. I like to write outside the box (see my Narcissa/Rolanda Hooch story) whenever possible. My muse basically does what she wants, when she wants, but can be bribed by sweet treats (see above). I'd like to say I'll finish my WIPs, but again, it's really up to my muse.

Bex - She's written 850 stories and counting! I met her while competing in a challenge on the HPFC, and we've been friends ever since. She creates awesome challenges that I just have to join, has me typing favorite, neighbor and color the British way. She motivates me to write different pairings and most importantly, boosts me up when I feel down about my writing. Oh, and she reminds me that I edit too much and can post faster if I didn't edit and edit and edit and edit. We met in April 2015 when I was in England, and we had a wonderful time. She has a standing invitation to my place in America when she crosses the pond again.

Nag - She lured me into posting my stories on The Petulant Poetess, edited some of my work and provided me great feedback. Also, thanks to the hard-working betas over at TPP. Thanks for editing my stories and helping me become a better writer!
