Reviews for Death Eater No More
Guest chapter 89 . 10/1/2019
I loved it. Amazingly well-written, funny, prococative, sweet -sometimes- never boring... One of the best stories I ever read in this fandom.

Kudos!

Can’t believe there are people who criticised this, it’s fantastic
TinkerVine le Fey chapter 4 . 4/11/2019
The argument given by Lucius's lawyer was brilliant! Expertly written.

I loved this. Thank you for writing. Who on earth would criticise! Do not feel badly, you have done a wonderful job
Temple Cloud chapter 33 . 1/10/2019
I'm wondering whether to stop reading this story, because I find the descriptions of corporal punishment disturbing. I can cope with violence in a story where it's clearly portrayed as abuse, coming from evil characters like Dolohov. And I can accept that Lucius Malfoy genuinely doesn't know any better - that he cares about his family but doesn't know how to be a good parent to Draco (we can hope he'll improve enough to do better with the new baby), and that, considering how much damage he has done by bringing Draco up to believe that pure-blood wizards are inherently superior to everyone else in the world, his over-reliance on beatings to try to win his son's 'respect' (which plainly isn't working) is the least of his failings. But when Severus Snape, who DOES have enough sense to know better, goes to the lengths of enchanting a cane to deliver magically-enhanced beatings so that taking painkillers afterwards will only intensify the pain - well, that's a refinement of cruelty that even Dolores Umbridge hadn't thought of, and is so creepy that it's almost erotic in a perverted way. Whatever effect it has on the students, I can't help feeling that behaving like this is going to be damaging to him - and it's certainly having a bad effect on me as I read it.

I know I'm only a third of the way through, and that I'm fixating disproportionately on what is a very minor part of a story which I am otherwise enjoying and finding interesting. But please can someone warn me about whether or not it is going to go on like this? Sorry to be so over-sensitive, but as someone who became addicted to self-harm as a child (because my parents didn't hit me, and I thought that God wanted children to be beaten and that I needed to take matters into my own hands), I'm a bit twitchy about this subject.
Temple Cloud chapter 20 . 1/9/2019
Nice idea, but - mobile phones work in Hogwarts? I thought nothing electronic worked there (which is why, if you want to use a bug to eavesdrop on someone's conversations, you need to do so by literally turning into an insect). This looks like something for which they really do need a field trip (preceded by lessons in transfiguring school robes into trousers or skirts that could conceivably be a muggle school uniform). I love Lucius's solution for MacNair, though.

Absolutely fabulous story! So sad that it’s end, but really...that’s just my greed talking. Thank you for sharing your creativity! Severus is my favorite, and you really did him justice.
Guest chapter 89 . 7/7/2018
This was one of the best stories I've ever read.

I'm so sorry people don't know the difference between giving constructive criticism and telling the author how to write the story.

I found your characters very inline with what I would expect in their personalities. It's not unreasonable to believe that Death Eaters had family and friends they cared about.

Thank you for sharing this.
Tara Lux chapter 1 . 4/21/2018
Wow, just wow... I adore your writing style. It's very similar to my own. I also love the focus on the Death Eaters and making them fleshed out characters and not just EVIL BAD MEN. Great job, love this fic!
Eagle-Eyes chapter 89 . 3/28/2018
Terrific story...

Unusual in that we normally don't consider what the losing side goes through

Keep writing as life allows
azhou1 chapter 89 . 8/9/2017
This has been awesome! It's too bad that this is the end, I wanted it to go on and on and on. Well, serves me right for not writing in my stories. Anyways, I'm sure that reading The Voldemort Diaries will be amazing too!
Guest chapter 29 . 5/25/2017
not counting the dark lord and Bellatrix, he'd been bested by no one in a one-on-one fight After reading this, I think I'll say goodbye.
Guest chapter 28 . 9/25/2016
Snape's thoughts are hilarious. Love this story! Really enjoying reading about the Malfoy's too.
AmericanMuggleborn chapter 12 . 4/30/2016
I think Lucius is treating Draco like a child. As Draco is past majority he resents that. It is true Draco needs to grow up. Lucius needs to help him grow up not hand down childish punishments.
AmericanMuggleborn chapter 4 . 4/29/2016
Your story is interesting but I think Runcorn should be on trial himself, rather than presiding over a trial. I remember his actions in Deathly Hallows and he seemed like a Death Eater, himself. Runcorn's proceedings are not judicially correct. Indirectly Mr. Norman pointed that out. Good job on that point.

I do not think Mr. Norman should have threatened Harry Potter. He could have landed on trial, himself, with all three Malfoys flung into Azkaban. Bad idea to threaten Harry Potter.

However I think situations were extenuating enough to let the Malfoys go.
