What a wonderful story! Thank you!
The characters and the feel of the relationship are true to the cannon (even though we do not know Gisla well yet). And Rollo is consistent with the gentler and wiser persona that the show writers made him after Sigi's death.
The pacing and language are nice - the story unfolds just fast enough, providing the details needed to make it rich and "real" to the reader before jumping to the next scene.
The story is consistent coming entirely from Gisla's point of view, but I would have loved to hear from Rollo. Perhaps you could writer a companion piece letting us know how he felt (even though it is much clearer and perhaps less interesting for you to write ;)

I feel like you were able to capture their personalities so well and your writing is lovely :)) I like where you went with their story lines, that fighting game was adorable, I grew to like Rollo a lot and his dedication to team work esp. in the last season and it's good to read a story where he finds some happiness and satisfaction. Oh this was a lovely piece! I really enjoyed how you focused on their relationship and the development of their friendship. How they learn how to create the bridge between their two worlds so that they meet in the middle with love and respect. That ending spar was an wonderful way to wrap up this tale, one that was both poignant and sensual. You really get the feeling that they truly respect one another one beyond the love they bear for each other. I've read this story a couple of times now and it always gets me grinning! How great was Gisla on the show. She held her ground. I think she's perfect for Rollo although not according to history. I hope you write more for them as I've only seen 2 stories bout them. Great writing and are you taking prompts?
