starlite22 chapter 17 . 6/29 After what she said to Ashley he should have given up the hoar house and Belle, and provided his love for her. |
starlite22 chapter 14 . 6/29 Thank f he truly wants to make it up to her, he should sell his hoar house, and tell Belle to move to another town. |
starlite22 chapter 13 . 6/29 You go Scarlett “ "Call it whatever you like!" she cried out, her ire returning to the surface as she ripped herself out of his arms and moved to the extreme end of the bed. "You're not sorry for… for what you did, you're only sorry that I found out. Well I'm sorry too. I'm sorry that you ever asked me to marry you. I've always known about your relationship with that…that creature—but I just thought that I would be enough." “ put him in his place. His double standards are cruel. |
starlite22 chapter 12 . 6/29 So she can’t go to the mills or see Ashley, but he can to his hoar house and see Belle, what a horrible cad he is. |
starlite22 chapter 11 . 6/29 Hopefully he starts to tell her how much he loves her. It’s very one sided with him keep asking her last chapter, and this one with him saying what she can and can’t do. |
romabeachgirl chapter 18 . 10/5/2019 I recently read this story over on the group board and couldn't figure out why it wasn't posted here because it was such an amazing story with great characterizations, and a perfect ending. Today as I was looking for something to read, I stumbled upon this here and I had to laugh at myself. Anyways, yet again you've outdone yourself and I'm adding another one of your incredible stories to my favorite list. |
Truckee Gal chapter 18 . 7/6/2019 This epilogue had beauty, charm, passion and romance! They took their sweet time about it, but Rhett and Scarlett found exactly what they needed in each other to create a wonderful life for their children and themselves. You left us with a mystery to solve: what is the surprise gift she had for him? My best guess is that Rhett will become a Father again! Thank you for this story, it’s a true gem. |
Truckee Gal chapter 16 . 7/5/2019 Rhett hearing firsthand what Ashley told Scarlett is a brilliant twist. How satisfying to see Rhett sucker punch “the little gentleman;” first with the truth of his heinous ways, which were extremely insulting to Scarlett and Melanie, too. Second, with his meaty fist slamming into Ashley’s unsuspecting face. Oh that was jumping for joy GREAT! |
Truckee Gal chapter 14 . 7/4/2019 That he lost days of enjoying impending fatherhood ought to keep Rhett close to home. It was a short chapter, but sweet because Rhett recalled their mutual grandchildren conversation! |
Truckee Gal chapter 12 . 7/4/2019 At their party and his late night out, Rhett’s attitude toward Scarlett appeared to be: “Do as I say, not as I do.” Well, Rhett Butler, as Scarlett showed at the party, “What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.” Their life is about to change and, hopefully, they will embrace it together! |
Truckee Gal chapter 10 . 7/4/2019 Rhett needed to hear Scarlett say she loves him on several occasions before he would reciprocate. Having despaired he ever would, when he finally came clean, Rhett said, “I love you” to Scarlett five times. In happiness and relief, this song started playing in my mind. Here’s to you R&S! “Only you, can make this world seem right. Only you, can make the darkness bright. Only you, and you alone, can thrill me like you do And fill my heart with love for only you. O-only you, can make this change in me, For it's true, you are my destiny. When you hold my hand, I understand the magic that you do. You're my dream come true, my one and only you!” Songwriter: Samuel “Buck” Ram (1955) |
Truckee Gal chapter 8 . 7/4/2019 Rhett is utterly unbearable! Scarlett tells him her heart, Rhett states he will see to her happiness; then, he immediately invites Ashley into their marriage bed. Scarlett needs a dozen vases, pronto! Rhett's thick head requires that many to bashed against his head and clobber some sense into him. |
Truckee Gal chapter 6 . 7/4/2019 Rhett did one good thing. He did not taunt Scarlett by bringing up Ashley. On the other hand, he was entirely too callous, condescending and evasive towards her! The way he treated her made me want to hand Scarlett a vase ... or two. |
Truckee Gal chapter 4 . 7/4/2019 Rhett’s worse than a fool. Having never taken a psychology class, I don’t know its terminology, but inside Rhett there are diametrically-opposed emotionally-violent mood swings that take turns controlling his words. I know GWTW wasn’t published until 1936, but the behavior of Rhett Butler (born 1828) here with Scarlett ... Well, it makes me think about the physically-violent swings of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde from Robert Louis Stevenson’s 1868 novella. |
