Author has written 31 stories for Castle. I've got myself buried under a pile of chapters to write. I'm hoping to post at least one chapter a week, but no promises. Don't forget to check out the multi-chapter fic I'm writing with Celeste J. Evans and SheWhoTangles titled 'Armed & Dangerous.' It's on Celeste's page. I've been writing since before I could write. What I mean by that: My earliest writing memory is when I was in early elementary school. I was just learning how to print letters and the first story I ever wrote was one that I told to my mom. She then wrote it down and I copied the letters. So I've been writing for a LONG time. I finished my first novel in 8th grade; after 11 revisions, I'd gotten tired of it and shelved it. (Who knows, it may come back in some form someday) Sadly, after graduating from high school, I didn't write much at all for years. Then I found this fan site. The show "Castle" and this fan site have truly helped me rediscover my passion for writing. There is just something about being able to write stories where the basic characters and settings and life situations are all mapped out that makes it SOOOO much easier. :) And it gives me an outlet for one of my favorite hobbies-analyzing the development of the Caskett relationship. In case you haven't guessed yet, I am a Caskett shipper. It took me a little while to get into it (I don't normally watch 'cop' shows) but by the time I watched 'Knockdown' for the first time, I was hooked. I'm actually glad I didn't get into the show before then-this last summer after the season 3 finale was bad enough. The season 2 finale was one of the first episodes I ever watched and I remember thinking, "Well that was a crummy way to end it!" But I pretty much forgot about the show until 'Knockdown' was advertised. After that, I watched all of the first two seasons within a couple weeks or so, courtesy of Neflix. The type of stories I write can be on the 'unique' side of the spectrum, ranging from mind reading to aliens to a complete crack story that I am having a ton of fun with. But what I write tends to be on the fluffy side. I don't even attempt to write cases into the stories, and I stay away from anything dark. I will not write death fics Some favorite Castle quotes: "If you get killed-" City Lawyer "My lifeless remains cannot sue the city." Castle "You thought you sounded so smart when you started that sentence, didn't you?" Castle to Beckett "Yes, Beckett. Either there's a dead body or you just want to hear my sultry voice...Dead body it is." Castle "Yin needs Yang, not another Yin. Yin-Yang is harmony. Yin-Yin is a name for a panda." Castle "I'm just saying whoever killed her also murded the English language." Castle "I sometimes forget I'm not actually a cop." Castle "I don't." Beckett "Here I was looking for evidence and all I had to do was make something up." Beckett "You have the right to remain silent...so shut the * up." Beckett "Shut the front door!" Beckett (And BOY did they ever!) "Mom and Dad are fighting." Esposito "Who's winning?" Ryan "Actually, I don't drink coffee, but would it kill you to bring me a bear claw?" Lanie to Castle "So cute the way you two do that!" Lanie to Caskett (Caskett speaking in unison) "Honey, just because you can't see what's going on doesn't mean everyone else can't see what's going on!" Lanie to Beckett "Don't let the job get in the way of the job" Captain Roy Montgomery "You hunt murderers for a living. You can do this." Lanie to Beckett (tell Castle how she feels) Favorite Caskett songs 'Never Let Go' by Rascal Flatts 'Just A Kiss' by Lady Antebellum "Listen To Your Heart" by D.H.T "I Think I'm Falling For You" by Colbie Cailat "Open Your Heart" by Madonna "Realize" by Colbie Cailat "Sparks Fly" by Taylor Swift "Love Don't Run" by Steve Holy "Shake It" by Luke Bryan (Yes, I know this is not your typical Caskett song. But every time I hear it I think of that scene where Caskett was in that bar and Beckett danced in front of Castle) "You Don't Know Her Like I Do" by Brantly Gilbert I just heard this song for the firt time today and it reminded me so much of how Castle must have felt during the summer when Beckett didn't call that I had to add it to the list "Fall Into Me" by Brantley Gilbert Here is the perfect song for season 4 And I just HAVE to add this song, although the only part that fits Caskett is the chorus; think Johanna Beckett's case and you'll see what I mean: 'When you're weak, I'll be strong; When you let go, I'll hold on; When you need to cry I swear that I'll be there to dry your eyes; When you feel lost and scared to death; Like you can't take one more step; Just take my hand, together we can do it; I'm gonna love you through it." Thank you to leanaplumz for letting me use her quote: Let 2012 be the year of Caskett! (Update: It IS the year of Caskett! YAY!) Now if Kate will just say 'ILY' to Castle in 2013...the earlier the better. :) Then I'll be completely satisfied; promise! Kate said 'Rick, I love you' on April 29th, 2013 in the episode 'Still.' I was literally on a Castle high for about a week and a half. (I avoided watching 'The Human Factor. I'll watch that right before I watch the season finale. Although there's a possibility I won't be watching it until September, right before the season 6 premire.) And yes, it's official-there WILL be a season 6. |
