the story is 8 years old and I have no idea if you still read reviews but I wanted to say with the lock in and vacation going to hell and then not feeling great this story made being stuck on the couch for 4 days so much better i have been reading fanfiction on an off for over 15 years and it's been a long time sense I loved a story as much and I did this one so thank you

I have reached the end of this story. That means I have now officially read EVERY SINGLE ONE of your Castle stories. It was such a great story! Great job, Nat! There may have been tiny mistakes here and there, but I honestly didn't care (and you know me and catching mistakes). I didn't care because I was so caught up in the story.

It took me a few days to read through all of it, as I was trying to read it at work, after work, and while I was in the process of moving. Yes, it may have been a long story but I was sad to see it end. I wanted more. I still want more. Thank you for writing your stories. I have been through A LOT over the last year and a half, especially the last few months.

Your stories have gotten me through a difficult time. They gave me an escape. They distracted me, they helped keep me sane. Thank you for being there when I need it, whether it's through your stories, a chat on the phone, or a weekend Skype session.

This story hit me right in the feels. When I was reading it, I was engrossed in it. I could feel what the characters were feeling. Maybe not 100% of the time, but having been an actor and being a fellow writer, I can imagine. I told you that there was a part in the story where I nearly cried. I don't know if it was just how you wrote it, because I could relate to it, or because my emotions were already so high. Maybe it could have been all of the above.

I know this story is done, but I feel like there could be so much more to it. If you don't write it, may I? I'd like to see where these characters go from here. Maybe I can write it for our group or just for us (only if you give me permission). If not, that's okay too. Because of you, I got into writing... and not just for FanFiction. I am able to write original ideas too.

This is an outstanding story. It covers a period in the Castle canon I've not read before - the period directly after the scene in the freezer truck. While the criminal portion is minimized, the romance between Rick and Kate is the main point of focus. They truly love each other (naturally with the mandatory blocks and conflicts, but It's all well written and entertaining throughout. This fact is both good and bad. The story is long, but it flows smoothly and passes quickly. For me, that meant I was so interested I just couldn't stop reading. While it just may be me, but the author's sense of humor matched mine constantly. So, along with the great story keeping me well entertained, I laughed my head off at many of the characters' statements as well as the situations the characters found themselves facing.
