Loved how Kate had to force their hand. Putting a chair under the doorknob on her side was so smart. I loved the part where they hold hands and they are "united and unbreakable" and can handle what comes next. That says it all. Thanks for a great short story.

Completely avoiding my deadline and other fandom characters running around in my head in order to get caught up on your beautiful work, because yay priorities. ;)

This is actually a really fascinating take on their relationship, particularly from you who so brilliantly delves so deep into their psyches. This is all action Beckett versus introspective Beckett or Castle, and I for one love the badassery, but (and this may be the psych degree talking) I think it's almost more powerful than the quiet intimacy that comes with delving into characters' reasons why, because Beckett's actions here have nothing to do with thought. It's all instinct and action, and shows just how much her priorities have shifted. It's a natural movement for her to need him near, to ensure his safety, and really shows just how entwined they are; they are incomplete without one another, and that's a confirmation of not only where their relationship is at this point, but where it's bound to go. And you do all this in so few words, which is the truly amazing part; I know I can spend 5,000 words trying to do what you've done here and not come close to establishing the seriousness of their connection.

I am in love with this: "Then, united and unbreakable, the two partners simply sat and waited, knowing that– no matter what came through that door– they would be able to handle it." Ugh, you. UGH. WHAT EVEN IS THIS? SORCERY, I TELL YOU. SORCERY.

Brilliantly done.

Oh how I adore badass Beckett. The next part made me melt a little bit, where she is desperate to hear his voice and thinks she'd recognize it even if she went deaf. Gah, so perfect. More melting at the handholding...tentative and sweet. :)

I had to reread it before leaving a review. I didn't think it was possible, but it got better the second time! Now I have to read this fic once more. You know, to see if there is any correlation between amount of re-readings (is this a word?) and the level of my emotions.
I don't care even if it's a little cheesy, I LOVE it! The ending is so sweeeet and so... I don't know, English won't cooperate with me today. The ending is amazing, AMAZING and gives me all the feels. Maybe I'll go sing a couple cheerful songs with my baaad bad voice. Yeah, this is what your fic's doing to me)))
I really love when Beckett tries to protect Castle or does something out of worry for him. I miss it on the show, so thank you for this.

Her almost shattering that interrogation room window completely and then just asking for him was completely enough.
I just loved it how she fought for him, how she didn't want to let them have it their own way, how Castle said he was threatening them with major and she just got her way by using... force. Hahahaha
Loved the las scene, them holding hands and just being together against them all.
