I'm reading all of your one chapter stories and I just LOVE THEM! really don't read the one chapter one's but somehow you know how to put so much onto so little of space.

I already love this story based on the title.

He keeps getting flour all over her. She can't seem to hold him at bay long enough to get through even three stirs, before he's on her—lips at her neck, hands at her waist, fingers running down her arms. She'd reprimand him, but it feels so damn good that she doesn't care. - Yeah love. I want them to make pancakes. It would be really nice to steal them.

"Thought you nixed the kitchen sex," he growls, attaching himself to her back, his hips flush with hers. - They're so squishy! I love them.

Between nearly falling off a building and the endless rounds of sex and the emotional upheaval, she's honestly feeling a little faint this morning. - Pansy. I do that every day and I'm good to go!

"Yeah," she says, miffed. It's not like it's a secret - Absolutely love the tone of that.

She needed it to be Ryan who pulled her from the roof—needed that push. - I really like that you made her recognize that.

Because this, with his hands on her cheeks and the pancakes burning again on the stove—it's everything. - Gorgeous.

She doesn't. She doesn't care. - I love this, like she's trying to convince herself.

"Stop burning breakfast," he retorts, smacking a kiss to her cheek. "And scoot, I'll do it."

"I can cook," she argues, shoving back against him as he tries to hip check her out of her place in front of the burners. - So cuuuuuuuute.

"It's not every day someone gives up a crusade for you."

"Oh," she mumbles, twisting her hands even as she forces herself to keep looking into his big, blue, terrifying, wonderful eyes. "Making breakfast is good," she manages, laughing as he grins at her. "Could go for a walk or something later too."

He wrinkles his nose. "Makes you sound like a dog." - Such a cute exchange.

"Love you," she says by way of thanks. - OMG I love that that's how she says it for the first time. It's not a big deal, it's almost so mundane and that makes it entirely perfect. Really love that. Oh okay it wasn't intentionally supposed to be the first time but somehow more perfect. I don't know. It's good lol.

He flips the burner off and strides around the counter, coming straight for her. She can barely blink before his lips are on hers, his body bowed in half to cradle her cheeks as he worships her mouth, hot and giving and full. - Beautiful. I love that.

which lead to round four in the laundry room - Yes please.

and the near word-for-word repetition of her speech somewhere around 5am - He's like the most perfect dad. I love that he told it to Kate cause he's so proud.

"Some," Alexis says easily. "Wasn't in the mood."

Castle gives Kate a triumphant look and extends his hand to feed the birds with his daughter. "See, I'm cool." - Hahahahahahahaha. Love.

He glances between them, a smile stretching across his face even as he valiantly tries to hold onto his pout. "I know," he says quietly. "My burden to bear, I think." - I love that he says it quietly because he's truly so happy.

"I think I'd rather hear about your night," she says impishly. - Oh Alexis. Don't be creepy.

"Don't be gross," Alexis mumbles, hunching so his forearm is no longer brushing her back. - Perfecttttt.

I wish this story would continue forever. And ever. And ever.

Oh my goodness Emma, this was absolutely wonderful. I have not had the desire to read anything post Always related because the episode was so amazing and my happy bubble so happy and the whole world was practically smiling and I did not need anything more, but then someone mentioned this and I could not, not read it. And I do not regret it the least. My happy bubble is an even happier place now. This was truly delightful, you did such a marvellous job writing it. My smile just intensified immensely, I enjoyed it very much. It is really, really great. I think you captured the change in their relationship beautifully, the joy and apprehension was really good and nicely balanced. And the end with Alexis was really sweet.

This was an amazing one-shot.

Loved the way you had Rick and Kate the morning after and still so full of love/desire for each other. It was nice to see that Kate wanted to fix them breakfast but she wasn't getting much done with Rick constantly interrupting her.

I thought you did a wonderful job with having Rick find out about what happened with Kate and Esposito. His reaction to Kate resigning was exactly how I see him doing. Plus, the comment he made about Kate doing it for him was so like Rick.

The scene at the end when Alexis comes home and sees them together was well done. It appears that Alexis accepts Kate and her father with how things went. Thought you handled that well. Also, how they teamed up against Rick was good.

The closing of the story was perfect. A job well done.
