So this is giving me all kinds of Always feels and I'm gonna have to go Youtube this scene again so I relive every glorious moment. You've really gotten inside her head here and I love the way everything sizzles between them. Perfect.

Good grief, that was fabulous. Powerful, and it captured every moment beautifully. You totally did the scene justice. I liked so many passages but I'll cite just one here:

You really nailed what was likely going through her mind. I loved her acute sensory sensitivity. And I really liked this line: His blue eyes glanced away, slipping in the pain, and then returned to search hers.

No way this is your first fan fiction. Very great story telling. I loved the first few paragraphs when you described Kate seeing Castle's face and that was all she could see when on the roof. It linked her emotional state in those two scenes together perfectly! Well done.
