I'm listening to the Season one soundtrack as I read this and 'Rose's Theme' came on just as she entered the Tardis. Perfect timing... just perfect.
Oh, and beautiful, the writing I mean. Nearly cried.

This is brillia- sorry fantastic! You've really matched the tone the scriptwriters took in those first few seasons with 9. Which - not that one can't have a great Whofic in a different writing style but - this just makes me feel right at home- like I'm reading a transcript from an alternative episode.

*facepalm* Oh! I didn't realise when I wrote that review what you meant by "writing them like episodes". Now I get to read the rest! D

This is one fic I've really enjoyed reading. It's a great and interesting way of continuing things with Rose and 'the Doctor'. I hope you'll continue it.

I know I've already reviewed this story, but given that this is at least the fifth time I've read it, I figured you deserved another note. Your entire series is absolutely brilliant. It's the perfect Nine fix, and I can't wait until the updates continue.

You capture each character perfectly, especially their voices. I can hear each voice so clearly in my head. Not only do you get their speech patterns perfect, you get their reactions perfect as well. They've all shown growth since their appearances on the show, but still demonstrate the same flaws they've always had. It's perfect. I especially loved the Doctor and Rose's argument in the zeppelin. Rose's "Sod off, it's freezing in here!" reveals just how much she's grown up; she's as strong as the Doctor and not afraid to stand up to him. I don't know; that whole scene just really got me.

I could gush for paragraphs, but instead I'm going to keep re-reading this series.

i LOVE this concept. i just started watching doctor who a few weeks ago, and i was traumatized by the loss of Nine. david tennant is brilliant, dont get me wrong, but to me, the doctor is captured beautifully by eccleston's dark intensity juxtaposed with his seemingly indomitable optimism and mad grins. like you, i felt that there was so much that could have been done with the character if he had had more time.

so all that to say that the parallax universe helps to fill the hole Nine left in my heart when he regenerated. thanks for indulging us readers!

Isn't it just a truism that no matter how many times you read through a story you can always find something that needs fixing? "crossing to THE island to pour her tea."

Apologies for bringing this up late, but I noticed a tiny misinformation in the previous chapter. Analog devices are actually much more accurate than digital. The reason we've gone from analog to digital is because it is easier to record, refine and store digital output. Analog will transfer to any level of digital quality you set up. It's like the difference between an analog watch and a digital watch. The digital will only display to the tenth of a second at most, while an analog can be set to show a smooth movement throughout the 360 degrees. Computer scientists around the world have worked diligently to create an analog computer with limited success.

Have you thought at all about writing a cannon story to publish? ...and yes. It's that good.
