Call me Monte.

Long long ago, in an internets far, far removed from its current state, I wrote fan fiction. It was fun; it was jolly; laughs were had by all. Then, I went to college, got a "real" job, and just sort of forgot about it. I started writing my own stories, which is all well and good. The true purpose of fan fiction; for me, anyway; was to gain practice. Long before I had the skill to build fleshed-out worlds and characters, I could take ready-made universes and play around in them. As my skills improved, I moved on to personal projects.

Recently, however, I've been struggling to write creatively while starting more serious, practical writing projects. So, I thought perhaps I'd return. Run around, mess with things, press buttons I shouldn't press, and just write for the fun of it without the pressure to create a unique universe. I'm on creative vacation.

Recently, after insistence by nearly everyone I know, I started watching Doctor Who. I'd meant to watch it, but originally tried watching from the VERY beginning (because I'm a little OCD like that, things must be done in order) and couldn't quite get into it. My cousin insisted I needed to start with the 2005 restart, so I finally knuckled down and started watching the reboot on Netflix. Aaaand was trapped within one episode.

Procrastination, thy name is Netflix.

Anyway, like any giddy child with a shiny new toy, I'll be toying around with Doctor Who fan fiction. It won't be canon. Not entirely. My ongoing series, Doctor Who: Parallax, accepts the canon all the way up until Rose gets trapped in Pete's universe after Season 2; then promptly kicks the canon in the shins, spits in its face, and storms off. Also, while the 10th and 11th Doctors are both delightful, I miss the 9th. There was just so much more I wanted to see that character do. As such, I will be configuring the "Whoniverse" in a manner to suit my story.

I'm not the first. Deal with it.

Now, formerly I had a regularly and fairly reliable posting schedule. Then, ya know, life happened. As such, my stories have not been abandoned, but their updates may be a bit... erratic. That said, I've decided to list out my existing episodes in the Parallax series as well as the ones planned for the future. Now, since the existing episodes have summaries readily available, and I can't really summarize most of the upcoming episodes without giving a LOT away, I will simply list the titles, episdoe number, and the song snippet associated with the episode. You may be able to infer a lot from them on your own. ;)
