This is actually a really really good Rose/Nine fic, AND it's well written, a very rare combo. I have to say though, still no relief? It was all so promising. And I absolutely love the metaphor. Very fitting.

So after I read the latest chapter of your new fic HatHH, I had some extra time and decided to give this a quick little re-read. Your stories are so amazing I find myself doing that quite a bit if I'm honest.
This is one of my favorite stories in your PPF 'Verse because I don't think I've ever read such an apt description of their relationship. The attributes you've given to their respective Seasons is 100% true to the nature of their character and it's just so damned pretty to read! When you have Young Saint Nick explaining their beliefs to The Doctor, I feel like I'm reading a previously undiscovered ancient Greek story ya know? Like Rose I too went through a phase, only mine never really ended, and I adore mythology - especially the Greeks'. And this story uses such a beautiful metaphor for them and it makes me feel all dreamy every single time I read it. Oh, and don't even get me started on how very right you are with Jack as Summer!
Sorry for the fangirl-flipout, I could babble on for a while about your fics (which are actually what I think of as the new Who canon, sorry BBC) but I digress. Anyway there was an actual point to this other than to praise the overall awesomeness and sexiness of your writing. I have one question that nags me: If The Doctor is Winter, Rose is Spring, and Jack is Summer then who exactly do you have in mind to be Fall? I have a thought or two but I'm dying to know who you've imagined! Thanks for sharing and I can't wait to see what you post next.

When the young St. Nicholas was talking about the Seasons, I saw WinterDoctor, SpringRose, SummerJack, and when Fall was described, I just went FallIanto Jones! OMG St. Nicholas has the foresight!
