Just one question/comment (and this is completely random): why do you always (or at least most times, I can't remember) have Castle and Beckett with a son? Just curious. I vacillate between thinking they'll (if/when they get to that point in the show) have a girl and thinking they'll have a boy. I'm not criticizing your choice or anything like that, I'm just genuinely curious to know if you have a theory about the whole thing (I had a theory about the sex of Booth and Brennan's child, and I ended up being right. With Castle I just don't know what to think.) Or does it have to do with something else entirely?

And a comment: I love that you often have Castle and Beckett moving into an entirely new space once they're together. I don't think that it's something that they'll ever address on the show (because the Loft is so convenient), but I also feel very strongly that the Loft - where Kate will likely end up moving in - is very much Castle's place. I don't know what exactly what I want to say here, but I guess I just wanted to agree with you on that point - Castle and Beckett should create a home together. And I'd really prefer if they do it on equal footing (as in - they buy a new home together rather than just use Castle's place). If that makes any sense?

Wow. I loved this so much! Castle being a great dad all over again, Beckett and Alexis forming a relationship, Beckett learning how to be a mom, Castle and Beckett being happily married parents. I hope something like this really happens on the show someday.

Great googily moogily, this is sappy...but that makes it even more awesome! It's Caskett baby fic but nearly the whole family (Martha being off trying to be Broadway Diva rather than celebrate she's a mother (which she's never failed to admit or ignore, from all the anecdotes given in the series, but is happy to be fully her own woman)...and grandmother (which she also didn't seem to hate, with Alexis always calling her "Grams" and her adoring her relationship with Alexis but I'm sure there was some Tony Award-level angst when Martha started parsing the fact she was going to be a grandmother ;D)). And the Caskett intimacy at the end, with everything being new again? Brilliant!

Such gorgeous images of them, altogether as a family, Alexis included. Mother's Day is going to take on new meaning for her now that she gets to be a mom herself. And I loved the way Castle has this voice of experience when he talks about what to expect and feel and do in Mother's/Father's Day.
