![]() Author has written 5 stories for Harry Potter. Hello, everyone! My name is Ann (at least at here it is^^). My hobbies include READING, writing, music, history, books, art etc. I love nature and my favourite place to be is the seaside. Good thing is that I live near it, both at my actual home and the city where I go to school. I freely admit that I am addicted to reading fanfiction and I enjoy writing it too, although I am terribly lazy, which makes updates very slow-coming. I try, but I'm constantly tired and I have lot of homework, plus I live in a dorm, which practically equals to living in a private apartment. With insane neighbours. Anyway, enough of this. Next shall be listed some of my favourites. Music - current favourite is Eminem, especially 'Sing for the moment', 'No apologies' and 'Space Bound'. I also love Linkin Park, 30 Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance, Evanescence, Simple Plan, Fuel, some Estonian groups and my biggest musical additiction is Russian music. I absolutely love it, although, I can't understand about 98% of it. I'm still learning the language and music is my inspiration to do it. My two favourites are Бис and Челси. I love other Russian bands too, but those two are the only ones I'm sure I know the names of. They're one of the best too, in my opinion. ^^ Books - my favourite is Roger Zelazny's "Damnation Alley", I found it in my parents' bookshelf about two years ago and I'm not planning on returning it. I also love the "Song of Ice and Fire" saga and "Lord of the Rings". I used to love "Harry Potter" (even have the second to fifth book), but now I just read the fanfiction. Hmm, what else do I love to read? "Book of Amber" was interesting to read, it's a series actually, but I've so far only read the first one. "Da Vinci Code". I've also read the "Princess Diaries" series, but not all of the books. "The Last Legion" was an absolutely amazing book, there's a movie made about it too, if I'm not mistaken. I've recently taken an interest in Balzac, due to recquired reading for Literature. I love Shakespeare too, I'd really love to read his works in the original format, alas, it is very unlikely I will find it in Estonia. "Monkey Coast", not sure if I've got the translation right, don't have the book at hand at the moment. And one of my biggest favourites, "Tenderness of the Wolves", a very lovely book, I plan to find it again. I'm sure there's a ton of other books I've read and loved, but right now, I can't remember. Movies and TV shows - "Avatar" takes first place here. I watched it during the summer with a friend, it's sooo amazing. I would have loved to see it in 3D, but I missed my chance. "Chronicles of Riddick - Pitch Black" is in the honored second place, no explanations needed. I love "Top Gear", it's my favourite show, we always have so much fun watching it down in the common room. My other favourite is "Supernatural" and I feel like killing the people responsible for putting it to Tuesdays at midnight, with no re-run at a sensible time so that I could watch it. It is beyond unfair. And "Criminal Minds" and "NCIS" too. Anyway, other movies that I love include "Gran Torino", "Sweeny Todd"(with Jonny Depp, of course), "Pirates of the Carribean", "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", a Russian movie "Moscow doesn't believe tears"(a truly wonderful old work of art, better than most of the pointless shite that Hollywood produces) etc. We interrupt this profile for an important message to one who has passed on. He will be remembered dearly. OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion, or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing. A moment of silence. () () Copy the Bunny to your presentation to help him achieve world domination, ( )_( ) My opinion of the human race : Humans are pathetic, egoistical creatures that destroy everything in sight, prey upon the weak and turn even the best things into something despicable. We are killing our own planet. I am ashamed to be a human. Remember, Earth can live without us, but we can't live without Earth.
