Sherlock realises he has missed an important anniversary, but doesn't see how this is relevant to either their latest case, which John is currently making a complete hash of writing about, or to Sherlock's very important experiments about fungal decay. He eventually attempts to subtly find out how to rectify the situation. Situations are rectified. Shameless fluff.
