I've taken up my ffnet account again after a decade of absence! I subscribed on this website as soon as I turned fourteen, I believe, and spent a lot of my teenage years writing (terribly bad) fanfictions, learning a bit more about English grammar and about writing. I've created a forum which hasn't been active in years, but which was a very lively place to be back in its peak; we had games, flooding threads, never-ending conversations and most importantly, people who were always genuinely excited to 'see' us and interact with us, which I consider to be so very important.

I had not completed a single fanfiction back then (outside of oneshots, obviously) because I ran along with every plot bunny that came to me and rushed into projects as soon as I could get my fingers on a keyboard.

I don't really regret not finishing my old projects in the sense that, now, I wouldn't bother, since I don't find them very interesting or well-written. I do regret not finishing my old projects then, because then I would have gotten into the mindset of always crossing the finishing line much earlier.

Since I've been gone from writing fanfictions, I have studied lit and creative writing; I have written many stories and various other pieces of writing (fiction and non-fiction), completed the nanowrimo twice, and in the last two years I went back to indulging in fanfiction. It is such a fun playground.
