I don't know about Heaven or Hell, but whatever part of Snape remains in his portrait is getting the afterlife he deserves. And he doesn't seem stuck in his living emotional state. He can change his mind, form new attachments and develop new ideas. Better than some depictions of an actual afterlife I've read.

That was very intersting. While Sumbledore's portrait has occasionally played a role, I've never read a story entirely about the magical paintings.

In my headcanon, I always prefer to think of Albus as a Slytherin. He wouldn't have been concerned if there wasn't a valid reason. I also think that his chat with Harry on the Platform made him less wary.

Loved his eternity, and I have to agree with you about cannon Lily. She had to have known what his home life was like, how he possessed no friends outside of her, yet she still flirted with James before she said anything about his torture of Snape. Not a good friend at all.
