5/9/15 Discovering Magic is BACK ON, tentatively. I'm bulldozing through my writers block so wish me luck.

About Discovering Magic. The story is Harry/Bill slash, but it starts at the beginnig of Harry's 4th year. That means that although much of the story is about their relationship, til Harry is a few years older, that relationship will consist of friendship. In the mean time both Harry and Bill will see other people! Some more seriously than others. I've already gotten ahead of myself and planned two of Harry's love interests.

The other main plot of DM is the magic Harry is discovering. That includes many elements of religion. The specifics for the spells, rituals, etc are being pulled from many places, christian, pagan, Wicca, Greek Olympian, Egyptian and Norse myths. I'm pulling from these sacred beliefs with respect, but no intention of discussing in story or out the original religions the concepts came from. For one thing I'm not enough of a religious historian to do the job credit, another is I'm mashing them up with my imagination and each other into weird new configurations. I guess what I'm saying is this is fanfic, don't take anything here as serious religious discourse.

Edit 4/2/2010 Regarding my story Twenty Years: Thanks everyone who has had interest in this fic. However a verity of factors have me overwhelmed and under-inspired. If this should change in the future I've decided to complete the writing before posting. So if/when this story is continued I'll post it all at once. Til than it will be for all intents and purposes, a complete one-shot.

About Fandom! (who cares about anything else?) Any and all recs I give are going to be Harry Potter, and mostly slash. However I do like other things, I just don't read even a tenth as much of them as I read HP. I like Buffy, Stargate/Atlantis, YGO, Scifi/fantasy, NCIS, CSI, Criminal Minds, Star Wars, Numbers, LotR, Star Trek, Wraeththu, Valdemar(Mercedes Lackey), Robin Hobb, Medium, Tamora Pierce, and lots of other things I'm forgetting. I'm also a fan of original slash.
