AN: Hali wanted Harry/Terry, word: A dare
A Dare
"...6 times."
"6!" "You've gotta be lying!" "No way!"
"It's true! You know it is, the spells won't let me lie. Now it's my turn, hum.... Terry, truth or dare?" Mandy said.
Terry didn't like Mandy smirk but already knew his answer. "Dare," he said. After all, Ravenclaws weren't known for their daring, but they were for their, sometimes inappropriate, curiosity,
Mandy's smirk grew, and Terry felt misgiving. "I dare you to ask Harry Potter on a date to Hogsmeade tomorrow," she said.
Terry felt his heart in his throat. Ask out his crush, the Heart-throb of Hogwarts on a date? He was going to kill Mandy, he thought, even as he cursed the spells that would make him do it.
----The Next Day----
Terry had been watching all day. Waiting to get Harry at least semi-alone, trying to minimize his humiliation. But Harry seemed surrounded.
He gave up just before dinner as everyone headed to the great hall. After dinner everyone went to their common rooms, and which would make the Truth or Dare spells do horrible things to him. Not the least of which was a loud sign above his head proclaiming to all that he'd welched on a dare. Stupid Weasleys.
He sucked in a deep breath, and chocked on it. Finally he caught up with the large Gryffindor crowd.
"Har-Ree," he squeaked, then coughed. He had all of their attention now. Including beautiful bright green eyes. "Harry, I - I wanted to ask you out to the next Hogsmeade weekendwithme." He said rushing the last, and waiting for Harry to gently, because he was Harry, turn him down.
He was greatly surprised by the transformation of Harry's face. He beamed, grinning at Terry, and his eyes sparkled with happiness. "I would Love to!"
Terry later decided that Mandy deserved a really really nice Christmas present this year.
