Hello! I'm Jane Doel (formerly Nightlightiscoolbro), and I love writing and books.

My first and original name comes from the books The Guardians of Childhood; Nightlight being my favorite character. But no one knows about him, so I tell people, "Nightlight is cool, bro." And that's how I got my name.

My new name comes from a story I've made up and am working in to a book.

I typically read books that no one else is familiar with, the books that aren't the most popular in the world. I specifically read books like Half Upon A Time, The Seems, and Ender's Game In case you haven't noticed, I like fantasy And science fiction.

If you've never heard of Destination ImagiNation, please look it up before you continue reading this! So, now that you've looked it up, you're obviously going to know what I'm talking about. So, anyways, my DI team and I, The Hip Squares, well we made it to Global Finals this year (2013). We didn't win, but that's okay, because we had an amazing time. I met some amazing people from all over the world!

I love How To Train Your Dragon and Rise of the Guardians. There are too many book favorites to count.

I feel that it's necessary to say that I'm a girl, because recently someone on here mistook me for a dude, so... Wasn't pleased. Most of what I right rite is pretty feminine, right?!

The story "Pure Emotion is a Scary Thing" actually started out as something in cursive on a napkin. I was really bored selling concessions, so I just started writing in cursive on napkins, and that's what happened.

I wish I were . . . a superhero who goes by the name of Nightlight. Her powers are emitting light so bright that the bad guys instantly are transported into the jail cell in her mind. And I wanna be an author.

Because I . . . think it would be cool, gosh! Stop judging me!

Sometimes I think . . . how, in the future, we're going to look back and realize how stupid we were for ever thinking that one member of the human race was below another (i.e. racism or homophobia).

Sometimes I wonder . . . if there's a possibility that, in another life, I've already met the love of my life. Or if I've met him already. Or if me in other dimensions is thinking the same thing... It's kinda complicated.

The best feeling in the world is . . . love and happiness. Simple as that.

The worst feeling in the world is . . . hate and discontentment. No other explanations.

It's been years since I've touched this account. I don't blush anymore, but when I started reading through my old profile and some of my old pics, my face lit up like a tomato. It's embarrassing, but it's also kind of cute. To see who I used to be. I did used to have a huge crush on Becker Drane from the Seems books, on Aang, and Ender and all them. And in some ways, that live on in me. The couples I shipped. The tropes that I loved. The people I became friends with. I've changed so much, and -- what an amazing journey.
