Hello, again!
Heads up: This story takes place just after Percy and Nico move in together.
Disclamer: I have not, do not, will not own(ed) PJO.
"Percy Jackson!" Nico yelled down the hallway.
"How dare he," Nico muttered to himself.
Percy had done it again. Again.
This wasn't a onetime thing that they could just laugh off and try to forget—no.
No.
Because Percy did it every week. Every single gods-forsaken week.
How dare he?
Nico had moved in with Percy almost three months ago, and already they'd had the same fight so many times, Nico had come to just expect it.
But he would never accept it. Never.
Not so long as he had any will to live.
Percy wouldn't get away with it, Nico vowed. Not this time.
"Jackson!" Nico shouted angrily. "Get in here now!"
Nico spent every Wednesday night in the Underworld, helping his dad. He still had duties he needed to take care of, and Percy knew it. Percy should respect that.
But did he?
No.
No. He didn't. Not in the slightest.
Every week.
Percy took advantage of Nico's leaving for the night.
Every week.
Percy completely forgot about Nico for a night.
Every week.
Percy just did whatever the Hades he wanted.
Every.
Freaking.
Week.
Nico would end this. He would end this now.
"Percy! If you don't get your ass in here in the next five seconds, gods help me—"
Percy finally walked into their living room, a towel wrapped around his waist and water beading on his chest.
"Holy Zeus, Nico," Percy grumbled. "I was in the shower, couldn't you just wait?"
Percy looked into Nico's eyes and froze, sensing the coming fight.
"How could you!?" Nico shouted at him.
Percy looked defensive. "What?"
Nico growled. How could Percy be so dense?
How could he not realize what he'd done? Again?
"You know what you did!" Nico hissed.
"I didn't do anything!" Percy insisted.
Nico turned around and took a few steps away.
Annabeth was right. Percy really was a Seaweed Brain.
"Stop denying it!" Nico turned sharply back towards Percy.
Percy's face darkened. "I told you. I didn't do anything."
No. Annabeth was wrong. Percy's worse than that.
"Thalia's right! Your head is full of nothing but kelp!"
"I. Didn't. Do. Anything." Percy shouted back.
Nico turned away from Percy again.
How could Percy keep denying it?
How?
After Nico had caught him so many times, how could Percy think he could get away with it?
With something like this?
If Percy was just going to keep denying it—keep thinking that Nico was so stupid he could be convinced by a simple denial—Percy had another thing coming.
"I'm done," Nico hissed.
A long pause followed. Nico continued to stare at the wall.
"Wh-what?" Percy whispered from his place behind Nico.
"I'm done," Nico repeated.
"I don't understand," Percy sounded heartbroken. Nico ignored it.
Percy deserved it.
"What are you done with?" Percy whimpered.
Nico resisted the urge to turn around. He knew Percy would be making that face. The one that nobody could refuse—especially Nico.
Nico didn't know how Annabeth had done it.
He couldn't back down now.
Not now.
Not when he finally had Percy's attention.
"Nico?" Percy whispered.
Nico whirled around, angry once again. Why was Percy so insistent?
"I won't put up with it anymore, Percy!"
Percy shook his head. "I still don't understand."
"You do it every time I go to see my dad!" Nico shouted. "You do it every week and you just expect me to put up with it! Well, I'm done! I won't do it anymore!"
"Nico, I—"
"I won't pick up your underwear anymore, Percy! Stop leaving it in the living room!"
Plot twist!
