Nightlight was definitely the first relationship of yours that actually went right. It was a healthy and consensual relationship, and of course you too fought, but not badly enough to split you both apart. Even though you were nearing eighteen and were soon graduating from highschool. It seemed like it had been a year, since he had told you about Marking and other wonders, but really it had only been two months at the very least.

It was now spring, having it been early March when you talked about such ideas, it was now early May. You were going to get off soon and begin summer vacation, only a couple more weeks. And the more you thought about it, the more you were tempted to do it.

The thing you were tempted to do, was to be Marked. The only problem you had with being Marked was the fact that you will age slowly, and will practically be immortal. You suppose this would be a good thing, but you did not want to see everyone you cared for die and grow old. But it was the natural order of things, so you couldn't stop it. And you, had the chance to break the order for yourself.

Sucking up a breath, you closed your textbook and stood up. You needed fresh air, so you quietly went outside, happy that you parents were out. You sat down on the old swing in your backyard, you thought of getting rid of the swing awhile ago, but had decided to keep the old roped, wooden board swing. It held memories, as did the tree it hung from. There carvings from when you were young, and there were steps that were there since you attempted to make a treehouse.

The treehouse failed.

But it was fun, and it made you smile when you thought about. "(y/n)?" you heard Nightlight's soft voice say from behind you, and you would've jumped but you had gotten used to it. At this point, you even expected him at the time he would come. You supposed it was because you were becoming closer, and maybe it was the Chosen thing. You wouldn't know, the Moon definitely did not talk to you, and barely talked to the Guardians.

You jumped up, kissing him sweetly, a peck really, but that was all that was necessary. "Hello dearest Nightlight," you mocked his accent a bit, and he scrunched up his features, making you laugh. "Are you okay?" He asked, "You seemed to be deep in thought, and I'm sorry if I've disrupted it."

You shook your head, "No it's fine, I was just thinking about the thing."

"The thing?"

"The thing, y'know, where you Mark me and stuff."

Nightlight rose an eyebrow, "Marking?" he asked, and you nodded. You paused for a moment, then took a deep breath, "I want to be marked," you said, casting your eyes to the floor. You could feel him tense up, "Are you sure?" he asked you. And you nodded, "Yes, I am sure about this." Nightlight nodded, "If you're sure then."

"So, how do we do this?" you asked him, nervous and twiddling your fingers. Nightlight grabbed your hand gently, leading you inside. You turned red, your mind going to dirty things. "Wait, do we...?" you asked slowly, your face heating up as you blushed harder and harder. He shook his head, drawing you closer.

If it were possible, you turned redder when you felt his lips brush against your collarbone. And you gasped when he bit you, softly of course. When he removed his mouth from your collarbone, your fingers brushed over it. Quickly, you went to one of the mirrors your mother decided to put in the living room for some strange decoration.

On your collarbone, you saw that a star mark was appearing on it, slowly and then all at once.

"I'm sorry for my Mark isn't one of the easier ones to cover." Nightlight said, and you shook your head. "No, it's fine." You kept touching it, you couldn't believe it, you were Marked.

"I love you," you turned around, kissing him.

"I love you too."
