![]() Author has written 4 stories for Avatar: Last Airbender, Tangled, and Sherlock. Feb 9, 2017 I CANT BELIEVE I'M FINALLY HERE!!! I've browsed and commented as a guest for AGES now, (you should have seen my reading list), but I seriously need to move on and get these damn fanfics of mine out of my system. I "specialize" in Avatar: The Last Airbender, my kryptonite of the nerd world. And it doesn't help that my bae and forever love, Zuko, is stuck in that glorious work of television. Most of my Avatar fics ARE Zuko-centric, and it's horrible I know, but I love to torture the poor boy. Now, I do other fanfics but not as religiously. I have a whole Google Docs with an easy twenty Avatar prompts and then some for other fandoms. Eventually, I should get those produced, drafted, and out. I've been slow in the fandom world, and indulging in everything that goes with it. (Fan art, Fan fic, Cons, etc.) I love nerds and creative intellectuals, so I'm thrilled to be here, other writing sites, and DeviantArt. I'm a newbie, trying to learn and experiment with the English language through essays, reviews, critical thinking, and "for fun" literature. I have a DeviantArt, so hit me up at FreehanderBaird10716. (I'm new there too, so literally I only have one parody posted, since I also like playing Weird Al. ) My originals will be on Wattpad under FreehanderBaird10716 too, and my FictionPress SHOULD be under the same name as well. June 20, 2017 I'm not dead, btw. And my new profile pic I drew, stuck it into photoshop, and added my username. So, I obviously own it. My Stories 1) Escape! Book One: Out of the Frying Pan (Avatar: TLA) Trying to escape the Fire Nation on the Day of Black Sun, Zuko runs into Azula on accident and is gravely injured. Luckily, as Aang, Sokka, and Toph are retreating from the failed mission to take out the Firelord, they over hear the commotion and save him. Not everybody is happy to have Zuko with them now, but they say to keep your friends close and *former* enemies closer... (Since you're limited here like you are on Twitter, here's an extended summary.) Trying to escape the Fire Nation on the Day of Black Sun, Zuko runs into Azula on accident and is gravely injured. Luckily, as Aang, Sokka, and Toph are retreating from the failed mission to take out the Firelord, they over hear the commotion and save him. Not everybody is happy to have Zuko with them now, but they say to keep your friends close and *former* enemies closer, since they may be more beneficial than you'd think. Zuko has to learn to bond with the Avatar and his group, all the while trying to figure out this new person that Zuko's found in himself and deal with the relentless ambition of his family and people back home. (Will be a duet.) 2) Under the Influence (Avatar: TLA) Sokka, after the monstrosity of the Ember Island Players, feels bad for leading to the Gaang's downcast attitudes. So, he breaks out a couple of bottles of, you guessed it: Cactus Juice. Wanting to see how he must have acted in the desert, he stays sober and sits back to watch the chaos of an intoxicated Katara, Suki, Zuko, Aang, and Toph. 3) Home We'll Go (Avatar: TLA and Sherlock) Newly banished, Zuko is ruminating in regrets and hurt while he's forced to set off on his quest to search for the Avatar, whether he likes it or not. It's not long after, though, that his boat is attacked by an angry spirit that swallows Zuko whole, in turn transporting him to modern day London where he gets a new lease on life with Sherlock Holmes, John, and Rosie Watson. Where Mary seemed to be predicting that someone like Zuko would stumble into her boys' life: "It's all about the legend, the stories, the adventures. There is a last refuge for the desperate, the unloved, the persecuted. There is a final court of appeal for everyone. When life gets too strange, too impossible, too frightening, there is always one last hope. When all else fails, there are two men sitting, arguing in a scruffy flat, like they've always been there and they always will. The best and wisest men I have ever known, my Baker Street boys, Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson." Please feel free to leave comments and suggestions. I'm here to test out my writing skills/abilities to a new crowd. -FB10716 |
