FASCINATING and the last few lines made me shudder. Chit Sand as a political newsman is an interesting take!

Oh man, those last couple lines really pack a punch! I love how Hakoda tries to investigate these two new elements, and gets so much more than what he was hoping for. And Chit Sang as a reporter just trying to get the truth out is just the icing on the cake!

I like Chit sang's role, as a polítical prisioner for publishing against oficial edicts it adds realistm showing lots of people was against Ozai

That was a very original take on a reveal. You put in in such a minute detail that it actually takes a moment for the fridge horror to sink in — and goodness, Hakoda's very appropriate reaction to that pretty much completes it.
I like how you write Hakoda. Most fics featuring him and Zuko have him as a supportive father figure, which is really great (for obvious reason), though it is realistic that he doesn't go right into trusting territory. Hakoda is a great father who trusted the judgement of his son in critical moments, and I'd say pretty open-minded too, but then again, he fought on the front lines, he's a POW, he has all the more reason to resent an enemy nation. Even the kids who were relatively more shielded took some time to establish trust; I can't quite see him going there without making his own observances and judgement first.
Like the take on Chit Sang being a reporter — that was unexpected. Must be where he got his grammar fixation XD

The interaction between Hakoda and Zuko interests me so much, I'd like to see him be a sort of fatherly figure to him. The way you wrote the characters was really good to read and you kept everyone in character. I like the idea of Chit Sang being a reporter. I'd like to read more !

This is so well done.
Chit Sang as a reporter is very creative, and I can completely see the Fire Nation suppressing anything but their official story, if they're willing to rewrite history.
Hakoda is a good warrior, and a good father. It makes sense that he would scope them out, and that the implications of what he heard wouldn't register right away.
Also I loved Suki's little bits here :)
