I really enjoy your story! I see it's been a while since it went up, but I just discovered ATLA and wanted to send you my review. I think you have an interesting concept and solid execution, and I encourage you to continue the story (if you want). I'm liking the slow relationship growth between Zuko and Iroh, you've kept all the core show characters pretty much in-character, or rather as close to in-character as possible while maintaining your story's environment. You've built a good variety of interesting OCs who don't detract from the main focus of the story (I like that the main characters stay main). It was a good twist to bring Pisa, Fong/Tuli, and Azula from being former characters into the present focus, and I would like to see more interactions between the different people around Zuko- sometimes something I do when writing is lay out a grid of character names, with interactions/impressions between them where the names intersect. I think you've got the mood and tone set just right, as well as the pace of the storytelling. If you're up to it, I definitely encourage you to continue writing it- I'm looking forward to seeing resolution to multiple plot lines you've opened- Iroh as guardian/foster, Azula going to get away with everything, Zuko's self-esteem, Zuko's academic performance, Aang/Zuko (nice!), Fong and Tuli and Pisa and Ayumi and the state... so much to unpack!

i know that’s it’s been years since this has been updated, but it’s stuck with me, and after rereading it today, it’s just as good as i remembered. i would love to see more, but what you have is amazing, and i just want to say thank you.
