Hello there! My name is Morgan, and it is high time I updated this profile.

So, a little about me. I'm a married father of one too clever for his own good little boy, I live in North Texas, I'm in my early thirties, my wife is the best and the love of my life, I've got a rescue dog who's a neurotic mess, and I have next to no idea what I'm doing with my life. I like to think I'm a writer, but I'm also finishing up grad school in a field that basically demands I either be willing to move anywhere in the country or pursue a Ph.D., and on the latter front, I'd rather eat shards of glass.

Which kind of leaves writing. That, or winning the lottery. Not the whole jackpot, enough to clear my student loans and pay for my wife's Ph.D. would be swell. Oh! And as of this writing (12/13/2018), my wife and I are expecting our second little bundle of joy and frustration, so be looking for that announcement somewhere in my rambling ANs.

Thus far, I've only written ATLA fanfiction that is heavily centered around Zutara, because I've only gotten more bitter about that since the day I threw a flip-flop at my girlfriend-at-the-time's TV back when I was a senior at the kind of pretentious small liberal arts school that your racist uncle thinks is the harbinger of the End Times. The girlfriend then revealed herself as pro-Kataang. The relationship didn't last.

That said, I am hoping to branch out into other fandoms. I have a Legend of Zelda fic that I've been working on for ages, I've got a whole folder of Star Wars drabbles that I really need to just edit and post, and I've got a friend who's always bugging me to jump into Marvel MCU fic.

There's also a spiral notebook lurking somewhere in my parents' house that's full of blatant self-insert Star Trek fic wherein I tool around the galaxy on the Enterprise and occasionally get drunk in Ten Forward with Riker. Sometimes Picard swings by to say hello. It's good times, but it also dates back to when I was a teenager in high school and it's all terrible and one day I will go dig out that spiral and share some of its contents with you all.

What else, what else...oh! I should probably add some warnings or disclaimers or whatever. My fics tend to contain a fair bit of adult language, because I have the mouth of a sailor and that filters into my writing. There also tends to be violence, adult situations, drinking and smoking, and the occasional instance of me letting my Nerd Flag fly a little too high as I squeeze in some rant about History or my super left-wing (by American standards) politics. There's never a Momo, because Momo is a pain to work into a prose medium and he only existed to sell toys anyways, and no graphic sex, because I'm a child who still giggles at the word penis. None of you should, under any circumstances, read Wild, Wild Love, because it's terrible, and I didn't figure out my voice or get a handle on proofreading and editing until Book One of Romance of the Four Nations, so really you just start there and ignore my first three fics altogether.
