It doesn't have to be only about my stories, I'm also open to helping others get on their feet. Please, enjoy my stories as much as you can, and have a great day. Regards, Whitebear General Q&A: Favorite Anime? - Naruto/Shippuden. Easily the greatest anime in my opinion. Naruto is one of those stories that stands above all the others. Its company is so elite when it comes to storytelling. It gave us so many memories, and even taught us lessons that we couldn't have learned in very many places, school least of all. Sure some of the characters are flawed, but that's just part of storytelling as well as life. Besides it teaching us so many lessons, the entire show was a roller-coaster of emotions. From the happy moments like Naruto befriending the Nine Tails to the sad moments like Jiraiya's death, it's a masterfully crafted story and universe, unparallelled in my opinion. Favorite Anime Character? - Gajeel Redfox - Fairy Tail. His personality matches mine in many respects. I find myself chuckling at half of his lines because it's the exact same thing I would have said in that situation. I also believe that he had the greatest character arc and redemption story, going from selfish, angry, and antisocial, to one of the core members of Fairy Tail, and someone who would sacrifice everything to save the people he cares about, seen with Levy. Despite all of these interesting and great qualities and development, he's only a side character, taking a backseat to an annoying blonde (see question further down) and Natsu. While I'll grant Natsu the honor of being an interesting and cool character if only for his fights, Gajeel simply is left behind, rarely ever focused on. Even little Wendy gets more of the spotlight than he does. Least Favorite Anime Character? - Sakura Haruno - Naruto/Shippuden. I mean, surely everyone here can understand where I'm coming from, right? She's utterly and ridiculously annoying throughout the entirety of Naruto. She never once does anything useful, just pining after Sasuke for the entirety of the series. And when we get to Shippuden, it ain't much better. All she cares about is still Sasuke, though she does actually get useful. Through both series', every action taken by Sakura is motivated by Sasuke. And that would be fine if she truly loved the guy. Now here come the hate comments saying that she did in fact truly love him, but let me say, no she didn't. It never once that I can remember gave us a real reason for Sakura ever being in love with Sasuke. In the first few episodes of Naruto, it's revealed that her, Ino, and practically every other girl in their class is after Sasuke because he's 'cool' and 'good at everything' and 'not a loser'. But I guarantee you that if one character had asked her once why she was so in love with Sasuke, she wouldn't have been able to answer. Most Badass Anime Character? - Kakashi Hatake - Naruto/Shippuden. Is there even another option for this spot? I mean come on. The guy has been emotionally traumatized more than anyone else in the series aside from maybe Itachi. His father kills himself when he's barely out of the Academy. His best friend dies right in front of him, having gifted him the (assumed) last remaining piece of him. He was unable to fulfill a promise he made to said friend, and on top of that, he broke it by killing his other best friend. Years later, his sensei dies protecting the village, leaving Kakashi all alone. With all of that heart-wrenching backstory, not to mention his time in ANBU, the guy still fights for the village, being the only thing he has left. When the time comes for him to train his sensei's son, he steps up to the plate, and knocks it out of the park. When he meets his old friend, he turns him back to the light, even though everyone else would have said he was a lost cause. On top of all of that, he becomes the Hokage. (Kakashi is closely followed by Erwin Smith and Levi Ackermann for this spot) Most Annoying Anime Character? - Lucy Heartfilia - Fairy Tail. It's ironic that the main protagonist of an entire series would make me hate them so much, but she did it. Aside from her annoying narrations that I have to force myself to suffer through simply to get exposition, she is just..how should I say this? She's just a terrible character to me. Lucy is completely useless, and her fights (if you can even call them that) are ridiculously boring, so much so that I literally skipped a few of them in their entireties. And yet every single arc, there's some moment where Lucy pulls something out of her ass to save everyone, then reverts right back to being useless again. She basically wormed her way into being a core member of Fairy Tail simply by befriending Natsu. Most Inspiring Character? - Erwin Smith - Attack on Titan. the classic debate surrounding inspiring characters seems to revolve around Optimus Prime and Captain America. Sure, Cap has some good speeches, and Optimus had me ready to fight Decepticons in the theater. But Erwin had me ready to die. Every time he spoke, inspiration and charisma just flow out of his mouth. The guy was insane, yet if I was there, he’d have me ready to die right next to him. I’m also Team Erwin. The guy should have been saved, screw Armin. Favorite Movie? - The Last Samurai. Tom Cruise is absolutely phenomenal in this movie alongside Ken Watanabe. While not at all historically accurate, it is based upon a historical event, and tells one of the greatest messages that a movie can possibly tell. If I went on about this movie, I would probably run out of characters, so I'll just say that all of you should watch it. Most Underrated Movie? - King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. While yes, it flopped in 2017 due to terrible reviews from critics, I just shake my head at that. One shouldn't let someone else tell them what is good or not. This movie is a very unique take on the King Arthur legend, and is quite entertaining. While the plot is predictable and nothing extraordinary, the movie itself is a great movie. Certain scenes, such as Arthur pulling the sword, or the chase through Londinium, are amazing, and have great pace. The supporting cast is also a great one. Djimon Hounsou is a very underrated actor, not to mention Jude Law's performance. All in all, Guy Ritchie made a great movie, and Charlie Hunnam proved that he can in fact act in a movie, not just play a biker on Sons of Anarchy. On top of all of that, the movie's score by Daniel Pemberton is fantastic. Even the Life of Aiden is thrown in there. If you don't know what that is, then I have no use for you. Most Quoted Movie? - Top Gun. For me, at least. I quote this movie almost daily. However, if all of the Disney animated movies counted as one movie, they would be the choice. Favorite TV Show? - Supernatural. 'Nuff said. Favorite Book? - Wereworld Series. A phenomenal tale about a fantasy world dominated by werecreatures, the entire kingdom is enveloped in war when the long lost heir to the throne resurfaces. The story is full of triumph, defeat, friendship, and broken bonds. Be warned, the series' end will leave you with a sad and empty feeling in the pit of your stomach. Favorite Marvel Character? - Captain America. Just something about him resonates with me. Yes, I understand that Iron Man is one of the options, and no, I'm not picking him. Sure, his sacrifice was sad and great at the same time. It was the perfect way to round out his character. Many people speak about the Marvel Trinity of Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man, but it's really just the Marvel Duo. Thor hasn't had nearly the same character development as the two of them have had. From self-centered billionaire to the man to sacrifice himself for the good of mankind. Next to him, we have the stoic leader, the man who only ever wanted two things: to be able to fight for his country, and to settle down with the woman he loved. I realize that Iron Man was a great character, but I have to give it to Ol' Cap. The man who betrayed the government that he once stood for to stand for his beliefs. People say Iron Man had the perfect ending, and I agree. But so did Captain America. Worst Marvel Character - Captain Marvel. Space Karen. Need I go on? Favorite Video Game? - Total War Saga. Favorite Video Game Character? - Talion - Shadow of Mordor/War. Talk about a sad story. This man deserved so much better. Family murdered in front of him. Brought back to life against his will. Kills the people who murdered his family. Builds an army and conquers Mordor. Defeats a number of Ringwraiths in single combat. Then, it all goes to shit. Elf bitch and the Celebrimbor (who is literally keeping him alive) unite against him in favor of dominating the Ringwraiths. Talion refuses and is tossed aside like a used tissue. The guy willingly corrupts his own body and soul to keep the forces of darkness away for a few more decades. The man was a warrior of Gondor to the very end. Also, that last scene of him walking across that field (towards the Halls of Mandos I believe) is just the happiest and saddest moment put together. The song that plays at that time makes me almost weep every time I hear it. Thank you for coming to my TED talk, and yes, I have seen animes other than Naruto and Fairy Tail.
